If you want to get a even better sound out of your AMIGA 500 computer then it's time for the amazing Sound Enhancer from Omega Projects. The last two weeks I could enjoy this fine piece of hardware and I played a lot of modules that were on my harddisk. I have over 300 modules so I had a great time listening to golden oldies. A friend of mine who owns a PC was quite impressed (he just bought a soundblaster) by the AMIGA sound. The soundblaster is nice but no competition for the AMIGA!. We all now the difference in sound when the AMIGA filter is switched off but what we don't know is that this function reduces the steepness of the filter slope but doesn't have a great effect on the point at which the filter starts to roll off. Normally this point lays around 1 KHz output but when you switch off the audiofilter and switch on the Sound Enhancer this point is moved to 20 KHz. At certain frequencies the Sound Enhancer provides in excess of 30 dB boost, i.e. a factor of 43 times. Therefor people who use a stereo system may not start at the max level to avoid damage to the tweeters. Also this device may NOT be used on other sound sources (Tape Decks, CD players etc etc). Installation of the device is simple; a five minute job. Just connect your Sound Enhancer to the serial port and put the 2 Audio input cables in your AMIGA sound sockets and put the two output cables connected to your monitor or stereo in the sockets on the Sound Enhancer. When you start please set the Enhancement level control knob to the lowest level so it can be adjusted when you play your favourite piece of music (e.g. Klisje Paa Klisje or Hopefull Towns...). Overall the Sound Enhancer is a must for the music lovers and is well presented in a solid metal box with on/off button, enhancement level control knob, a powerled and cables.
