Welcome to the ultimate collection of cheats for the Amiga. A LOT of time
and effort has gone into these listings in order to keep them up-to-date
and readable. I also spent a fair bit of time converting the listings
into AmigaGuide format. Some cheats are listed under different names
(i.e. the cheats for 'CHAOS ENGINE' are also listed under 'THE CHAOS
ENGINE' - this should allow you to find tips for games more easily). All
the necessary files for printing are also on this disk.

These lists all started from an old coverdisk containing a small cheat
list written by Daniel Russell (it was on Amiga Format's Coverdisk 24 if
you must know!). Thanks for starting this off Daniel! Sorry I didn't
credit you from the first release but I lost track of your name.

Originally, it was approximately 1,500 lines long (44K). At present the
complete listing is around 40,000 lines (over 2MB!!) and contains all the
tips, cheats and playing guides I have found over the last two years for
around 800 games (including a few Public Domain titles!!). I'm afraid the
lists are now so large that Amigas with only 512K of memory will not be
able to view them all as there isn't enough memory to decrunch them.
Thanks to Raven for telling me about this.

Also, I'm now starting to use illustrations with the cheats to show maps
and things. For example, look at 'HEIMDALL 2' - there is a button which
allows you to see pictures of the runes used in the game. You can print
pictures by pressing 'P', but you'll have to change the printer driver
first as the one on the disk is for printing text only. An easy way to
get around this is to boot up with your normal Workbench disk and then
load CheatList by opening Disk 1 and double-clicking on the 'CheatList'
icon. When you now try to print anything from the listings the printer
will use the driver set up on your Workbench disk. If you didn't
understand what I was on about, I think you're better off just playing
games. :^)

As there was room left over on Disk 2, I've included a game save for
'LIBERATION - CAPTIVE 2 (AGA)', some super-powered character files for
'BLADE OF DESTINY' and a trainer for 'PIRATES'.

Send me three disks (one to cover postage) with some new cheats on them if
possible, and I'll send you the latest version of CheatList as soon as it
is finished (released every couple of months).

For those who are interested, all of the lists were edited using the best
text editor available for the Amiga - 'CygnusEd Professional'.

NB: Some of the cheats listed may not work as I haven't been able to
check them all - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

* The background decruncher 'PP-Patcher', used to decrunch the lists *
