This ONLY works in document windows. Also ONLY works in Full Page mode of Appointments. - Tried to fix up memory management but a 1 meg Agnus and 1 meg of memory is still needed. Sorry but this has to do with the use of so many Hi-Res screens. I highly recommend users to get the 1 meg Agnus installed. It will prove useful for many other programs as well as Home Manager. - Added 'Nagger' screen to Demo version but I at least have the program running fully functional now, even for non-registered users. All my programs, from now on, wll have the 'Nagger' screen but will NOT be crippled. Well, that should be about it. I have done extensive changes to this program and I will get to work on doing new documentation for it. I hope the 'old' users will like the new enhancements and I hope it will now attract more 'new' users. Len --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 1D-1 - November 27, 1991 Bug Fix ------- -Found a bug in the ToDo's area. If you tried to change to Business ToDo's, the program would take a trip to LaLa land. Found the bug and fixed it. This was ONLY in the Demo version. It was looking for a print function which was, obviously, disabled in the Demo version of Home Manager. This little bug had no effect on the Registered version. Version 1D - November 25,1991 Bug Fixes --------- - If serial port not found by program or being used by another, HM would either lock up at startup or further into the program. This has now been fixed. A warning now appears on the screen and alarm sounds. You can continue to use the program but dialing features are disabled. You must still have the modem on to run the program. New features ------------ Opening - Alerts now appear if you have Appointments or ToDo's that are active for that day. Alarms also sound. - If HM cannot find the serial port or if it finds another program is using it, an alert appears and warning sounds. Appointments - Now separate from ToDo's and has a larger input window. - Saves only appointment files. ToDo's - Totally new and separate from previous version. - Has two windows for 'Must Do's' and 'Could Do's' - Choose between Personal and Business. Defaults to Personal. - Up to 52 total double-spaced entries. - Prioritize items. If an item is done, click mouse pointer to first character, first line of entry then hit Control-DEL. This will delete both lines of the entry and move all others up one position. Dialer - If serial port is being used, large X will disable Phone and warning sound comes on. Prevents lockup of program. Address Book - Added disable feature to dialing functions. Preventing lockup if serial port being used by something else. *Note about sounds ----------------- There are now two sound files being used as alarms. I have included two rather small but effective files. The first one, BAD, is used to warn about the failure of serial port recognition. You can replace this with any sound file of your choice BUT it MUST be named BAD. The second, ALARM, is used to alert you to the presence of either Appointments and/or ToDo's on your disk. This can also be replaced with any sound of your choice BUT it MUST be named ALARM. These sound files are located in the Resources subdirectory and MUST be there. Well, that's about it for now. I have added and fixed quite a few things and I might consider adding more to the program. I would also like to thank Charles Figureido and David Spiro (the first two to register) for their suggestions and help. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 1C - October 18,1991 Bug Fixes --------- - Requester for 'My_Stuff' will no longer appear. - Fixed use of blank filename in save feature. Before it crashed the program, now it prompts you to give the file a name. New features ------------ Appointments - Appointments and ToDo's can now be cleared individually - Added a time template to Appointments window - Appointments window now has both vertical and horizontal scrolling - Added clock below today's date Dialer - Added Personal and Business databases. Defaults to Personal. - Added Hangup button to abort dialing. - Added to more fields for Business Contact names or additional phone numbers. - Added clock. - Removed '911' feature. (Kind of useless) - Added Search ability in case of large databases. Address Book - Added ability to load either Personal or Business databases. Defaults to Personal file. - Added clock. - Added Hangup button to abort dialing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 1B - October 9,1991 There have been a few bug fixes and a few additions made to this version of Home Manager.
