BANKER           A 1991 PRODUCTION FROM KGS          (C) C.HURST 1991

    Banker is a compilation of Three of my earlier programs plus a new
program:

SonicBlast,
Screen-Packer,
SBV (Sprite Bank Viewer) and
The new Sample Ripper.

SonicBlast:

  This is a simple music player. Click in the box with a disk which 
is above the Tempo controls. This will cause a GURU where you can type
in the name of the file to load. Please include the path. The Guru is 
only a joke!!! The name (or part of it) should be displayed after the 
word LOAD:

  Now click on the RECORD button of the RADIO to load up the file. If 
you have changed the program disk you will be asked to insert it (for 
the VU-meters!!!). The yellow light above the RECORD buttons should 
light up. 

  Now click on the PLAY button and listen to the music until you're 
fed up! To stop it click on the STOP button. Easy eh?

  Click on the + and - boxes to change the tempo (give amos a bit of 
time to realise what's happening!) and click on the poper botton 
(below the STOP) to Quit!

OKAY!!

Screen-Packer:

  LOADING IFF:

    Click on the text that says LOAD: and type in a file name. Find 
the icon of a disk with IFF on the label and an arrow pointing AWAY 
from it and click on it. The pic should load into the PIC screen. To 
view this at any time hold down the RIGHT mouse button.

  LOADING ABK:
    
    Input file name as above but click on the disk with ABK on it. It 
is next to the IFF loader.

  UNPACKING:

    Click on the icon with unpack scrawled on it! The bank unpacks to 
screen 2! You can view it as normal.

  PACKING:

    Click on the pack icon (with the hammer (actually you should use 
the mouse)) and WAIT for the beep!!!!

  ERASE MEM:

    Wipes the bank.

  WIPE SCREEN:

    Wipes the pic screen!!!

  SAVE IFF:

    As Load IFF but click on the SAVE: text to type filename and the 
arrow pointing TOWARDS the disk to save it!!!

  SAVE ABK:

    This saves out a bank with your iff picture in it! To use this in 
your games:

Go to DIRECT MODE:

Type:

Load Filename,n

Filename is the name of the ABK file and n is the number of the AMOS 
bank to stuff it in!!! Without the n extension it will be loaded into 
bank 15.

TO QUIT:

  Click on the title screen!

SBV:

  Click on the Disk with a ? on the label and input your sprite banks 
name. Now click on the disk with the text "LOAD SPRITE" to load up the
sprites. 

  The two triangular arrows move to through the bank and the size and 
number of the inamge is displayed in the info panel.

  The picture of a Camera takes you into the Animation Studio! Press 
the up or down cursor key to change the image of your bob and the 
enter key ON THE KEYPAD to add it to the animation string. Q to Quit

  The ? and PLOT icons are not featured in this version! I haven't 
finished the routines yet.

  The splodge of red goo in the shape of a cross is the quit icon!!!

THE INFO PANEL:

NO. SP= Number of sprites in the current bank.
FILE  = File name of bank (or part of it!).
XSIZE = X size of the current image.
YSIZE = Y size of the current image.
IMAGE = Current image.

SAMPLE RIPPER:

  Have you played an AMOS P.D. game and thought:

"I could use that sample!"

The sample ripper will take any sample bank and rip out any chosen 
samples and save them as binary files. These can then be loaded into 
the Sample Bank maker (free with AMOS) and used in your games!

THE ICONS:

  FILENAME: Click on the Text thet says LOAD: below icons! Type your 
file and press Return. Click on the text SAVE: to type save Filename!
  
  DISK LOAD: This loads in the File Selected.

  DISK SAVE: Saves a binary file to disk using the SAVE: filename.

  PIANO: Plays the Current sample.

  QUIT: Guess!


THE PANEL:

NO.SP = Total number of Samples in the bank!
CURR  = Current sample. Use UP and DOWN buttons to cycle.
SIZE  = File length if saved as sample!
FREQ  = Frequency of current sample.
