I saw PIX-MATE running on a friends computer and thought that it was quite good, that was until I saw the price between £50 and £30. Thats a bit to expensive for me I thought, and some other people as well. So I went away and wrote this. I must admit it may still have a few bugs, but it is only the first version after all! What can it do? --------------- Well it, smears your picture giving you a sort of D-piant smooth look, it pixilizes your picture turning it into a C-64 when people used to use inverted spaces to draw pictures.(I.e. Blocks of colour!) It can change the screen colours to red or green or blue or gray scales. It can flip your screen horizontaly and verticaly. It can shift the colours up or down by one. It can make your screen appear to dekay( quite good fun!). It can also splater them. For one meg users there is the ability to change screens from medium rez to low rez.(1 meg only!) There is also the ability shrink your screens, and erase parts of it. Chapter 2 Explanations of each function. In deapth. Smooth. ------- This function is very similar to D-paints smooth function, it averages out every colour and then replots it. Very simple, it works best if your colours are in scale, like a gray scale. Pixilize. --------- This gives your picture a blocky feel to it. For those who used a C=64 when they were young, this is similer to the way people used to draw graphics using inverted spaces and graphics characters. Flip. ----- This inverts your picture horizonaly or verticaly. Simple All the other effects are self explanitory. Menus are movable by bringing them down with the right mouse button and then by clicking the top left corner and draging them. The medium to lowres command does not work on a half meg. Commands do not work until you have loaded a picture. Updates. -------- For those of you who like this version two will be coming out in about three months, this is so version one can circulate and lets me get on with V2. Version 2 will be available before that time if you send £2.00 and a sae + the version 1 disk to the address that follows. If you have any bug reports, queries, or ideas then also send them to me, you may even be mentioned in following versions!!ĦĦ!!
