Installation

To install InterChange Plus, double-click on the "Install-ICP" icon.  
For more information about the installation process, double-click the
"Installation Info" icon.


New address

Syndesis Corporation has moved its offices.  Please make a note of this in
your original InterChange Plus manual on page 6.  The new address is:

This new address is also present on the cover of the addendum 
for version 3.0.


Backup and Extensions

Page 7 of the ICP v3.0 Addendum incorrectly states "by default, both are
checked 'on'."  Instead, only "Backup files" is 'on' by default.  "Concat
files" is 'off' by default.


New names for Converters

Several converters have been renamed since InterChange Plus version 2.0:

    v2.0                        v3.0

    CAD-3D_Converter            CAD3D_Converter

If you installed InterChange Plus v3.0 over the top of v2.0, both the old
and the new Converters will be present in your InterChange_Plus drawer.
You should delete the old Converters if they are present.


ARexx Error Descriptions

When an ARexx command returns a non-zero 'RC' code, something went wrong
when executing the last command.  InterChange Plus and all the Converters
and Tools have an ARexx command 'WHY' that returns a string in 'RESULT'
that describes why the last command failed.


New Converters

We have many new Converters and Tools in development.  Supporting a new
file format requires a lot of preparation.  First, we need the cooperation
of the company responsible for the file format.  We need a detailed
specification of the bytes in the file, as well as a copy of the program,
technical support and the beta-test support of "power users" of the
program.  Next, we can begin the design and programming of a Converter.
This alone might take many man-months.  After that, field testing can
begin, and finally it can become part of InterChange Plus.
