============================================================================= Anim Workshop v2.01 - Readme File ============================================================================= This file contains information about the program Anim Workshop v2.0 that didn't make it into the manual. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The serial number is printed on the title page of the Anim Workshop manual. Anim Workshop runs a registration procedure the first time it is used. You will be asked to supply the serial number, your name and address, and other information. Only registered users will have access to technical support. We also use this information for keeping in contact with you about updates and new products. Be sure to enter the registration information carefully and accurately. You only get one opportunity to register properly. You will be prompted to insert the Registration disk that came with Anim Workshop. Your registration information is written to this special disk. Then you will be prompted to insert the "Anim_Workshop2" disk. The program disk will be updated with your registration information. ** BE SURE THAT BOTH THE REGISTRATION DISK AND THE PROGRAM DISK ** ** ARE NOT WRITE PROTECTED WHEN YOU INSERT THEM INTO THE DRIVE ** The updated program disk should be kept in a safe place. You can re-install Anim Workshop from this updated program disk should you need to. Use the stamped mailer to return the registration disk to Axiom. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is an animation by Eric Schwartz called atf_agility in the Tutorials drawer. You will need to acquire and use the archive program "lha" to unarchive this file. This animation is a good demonstration of cell type animation with stereo sound effects. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The program Show will be installed in the AWorks: directory. Show is a stand-alone anim player and picture viewer. Show supports Anim5, Anim7 and Anim8 animation formats, AGA screen modes, AWorks multi-media animations with sound, and .audio files. Basically any animation you can create with Anim Workshop you can play using Show. Show is written by Brian Wagner and is freely-distributable for non-commercial purposes. Call Axiom Software at 612-894-0596 if you are interested in including Show with your commercial product. Using Show is very straightforward. Run Show by clicking on its icon. You will be presented with a file requester. Choose the file you want to show. That's all there is to it. Type SHOW ? at a command line to get information about Show. When an animation is playing, all of the Anim Workshop keyboard equivalents can be used for pausing and stepping through the animation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The program FixANIM is also included with Anim Workshop. FixANIM will fix old op-5 animations. A new ANIM5 animation is created with the bits/ interleave information fixed. FixANIM is freely-distributable for non-commercial purposes. Call Axiom Software at 612-894-0596 if you are interested in including FixANIM with your commercial product. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anim Workshop v2.01 has some enhancements and bug fixes since v2.0 - plays sound samples larger than 128k bytes - fixed file requester extended select problem and .audio file loading path bug - fixed frame marks changing status even though they are ghosted - put ADPro/ImageFX version checking in place - updated Show with applicable new items Anim Workshop v2.02 has the following enhancements/bug fixes - Title of "Ok to overlay.." requester has been corrected. - AWorks now checks for IPs running when you select "Choose IP". - Fixed bug when overlaying COLOR images/ANIMs ONTO GRAY images/ANIMs. - Fixed bug when overlaying ANIMs with different dimensions. - Fixed pointer staying BUSY when ANIM load failed in INFO tool. - Fixed crash when panel was turned on after LONG play periods. - Fixed crash when trying to play an animation without enough memory. - Fixed DCTV/HAME screen positioning. - Fixed 68000 crash when loading animations. - Show can now show entire directories. - All bug fixes relating to ANIM playing have also been fixed in Show.
