It's somewhat untested (let me know what happens if you win) but I thought some folks might get a kick out of it. Yes this is one of these nasty games that doesn't multi-task but I will give you the system back after you've finished playing so there is no need to reboot. The object of the game is to shoot up all the burgers, fries, shakes, and hot dogs that attack your bottle of ketchup. To play the game you'll need to plug a joystick into port 2. Have fun and please keep the grease off your screen ;-).... Brian Conrad P.O. P E welcome to the final frontier. la coup de grace. the ultimate E L of ultimates. Have you been feeling down lately ? maybe you've been L P experiencing nausea, fidgetiness, and losing your sense of direction P E in this ever changing world ? Do you sometimes feel that there HAS E L to be something else. That life cannot just be "this". Well, my L P friends, i have come to fill that hole in your soul. (yeah, mama). P E Now be happy, and free. As far as the boundaries of your WorkBench E L Screen. Click here, and click there.. and err.... click everywhere. L P (yeeesh). At last, a saviour has come. clad in white, short but P E strong, simple but powerful, and with the grace of a swannish murgle E L bittlebink (an "animal" from those murky deserts on the planet L P dlroWagimA, nice place if i do say so myself, and i does ;-). P E Zip across the screen with pride and dignity ! KNOW where you are E L going. follow that bright light, that shining star. doth one not L P feeleth great now, eh ? wow, man, like, i mean, what an entry. P E E L --------> E L P O I N T E R <-------- L P P E well. here we are again. another month. another week. another E L day. another HACK. YEP! you heard me. another HACK. or is it... ? L P P E i really am proud of this little program. i have to admit though, E L it's simple as hell to do ... takes alot of perseverence thats all. L P have you ever tried drawing all 32 positions for a pointer using P E preferences ?? you haven't ? neither have I. this pointer has 24 E L positions :-) anyway, i think it's really jolly nice. really. L >-----------------------------------------------------------------------< P jolly thrilling and all that stuff, eh watt ? I HAD wanted to make P E just ONE drawing of the pointer (used the program PTRDATA to change E L the preferences system-configuration file into C data statements) L P and then do a 2 dimensional rotation of that data. I really couldnt P E be bothered to come with an algorithm to rotate all those colors and E L positions. too much trouble. So i drew every single position, and L P that's why the program size is pretty large. I'm not going to put P E the source code in PD, 'cause i'm too embarassed. In a computer E L sci exam, i'd get a Z grade :-). The only source code i borrowed was L P for the input events from MachMouse1.6. (look out for my Mad-Moose). P >-----------------------------------------------------------------------< E I set the priority on this program pretty high. This is necessary E L because we want to get the Mouse and key events before intuition. L P So it'll take up alot of CPU time when you're moving the mouse. P E Anyway, i sure hope this program thrills you to bits. to make this E L thing go, you can either RUN it or RUNBACK it. It shouldn't mind L P which one you do, BUT, if you RUNBACK it you will NOT get the usage P E info...! Not that there's much usage to it, anyway :-). After you E L run it, just MOVE your MOUSE... tadaaa... Elpointer...! L P oh yeah, this program ALSO does a SUNMOUSE. The reason for this is P E 'cause i'm using SetPointer(). If I didn't use this then when you E L switch screens, the pointer wouldn't be set properly. I think. well, L P I KNOW I had a good reason for doing it, can't remember what though! P E PLEASE don't complain about the way the pointer looks. i ADMIT, it's E L not perfect.. ! but it's hard drawing all positions of a pointer in L P an 8 by 8 matrix !! it could be a little better i suppose. naaaaaah. P E you can also change the color of the pointer to 3 PRESET COLORS. E L these colors are GREEN, WHITE, and BLACK. L P to do this, use Left-Amiga-Z. P >-----------------------------------------------------------------------< E Hope you folks like this !! E L if you would like to leave me any comments, please do so at the L P following BBS's : P E Bifrost BBS 1-301-926-2060 E L BBS-JC 1-415-961-7250 L P Chicago BBS 1-312-842-1745 P E CA-AUG 1-216-581-2284 E L Deep Thought 1-919-471-6436 L P P E ElPointeringly yours, E L Khaled Mardam-Bey. L P P ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-ELP-E please remember, this program probably has a few bugs in it somewhere. If you're using this program and it trashes your system, don't blame me !! it comes "as is", whatever happens from your use of this program is your responsibility. i do not and cannot gaurantee it will work perfectly. All i can say is that it works on MY system. so there. nyah. ***************************************************************************** " SLIDESHOW " VERSION 1.0 COPYRIGHT (C) 1987 MIKE McKITTRICK AND SHELDON TEMPLETON ALL RIGHTS RESERVED SLIDESHOW is a shareware program for the Amiga(TM) which displays IFF ILBM (interleaved bit map) files like those created by Deluxe Paint(TM), or Aegis Images(TM). SLIDESHOW was written in assembly language by two Amiga enthusiasts. It was created under v1.2 on a model 1000 Amiga with 2 megs of expansion memory. PURPOSE: The ideal way to show off your graphic masterpieces is to display them one after another in a slideshow fashion. This program is designed to let you use your Amiga as a slide projector. Each click of the left mouse button will display the next slide while a click of the right mouse button will display the previous slide. Multiple clicks will be stored and remembered thus giving a semi-automatic pause-free mode. The transition from one picture to the next utilizes a variety of screen wipes. There are fifteen wipes in this version - some are fancy, others are not. All wipes are unique because of the visual transition from one picture to next. USAGE: This version of SLIDESHOW works with IFF lo-res (320x200) pictures only and can be run from Workbench or the CLI. From Workbench: Make sure there are IFF lo-res pictures in the same drawer as SLIDESHOW and double click the SLIDESHOW icon. From CLI: Make sure that SLIDESHOW is in a directory that is set to the Current Directory. Copy some IFF lo-res pictures to this directory and type "SLIDESHOW" or "RUN SLIDESHOW" (without the quotes). The instructions are simple. As stated above, the mouse buttons will control picture displays by going forward or backward through the directory. When you reach either end of the directory you will get the familiar screen flash. To quit, hit the "Q" key on the keyboard. Here's a tip. Copy SLIDESHOW with accompanying pictures into a ramdisk and run it from there. Pictures will be loaded almost instantly. OTHER VERSIONS: Registered owners of SLIDESHOW will receive the following: 1) The latest version of SLIDESHOW. 2) A version of SLIDESHOW designed to work in the 640 x 200 display mode. 3) A simple SLIDESHOW editor so you can display pictures in your order with your favorite wipes attached. (We have added a truly automatic mode with user defined delays.) NOTE: Neither version of SLIDESHOW can intermix display modes within the same show. Each version will display only one display mode. UPGRADES: We intend to keep refining and enhancing this program. We plan to add more creative screen wipes and features such as color cycling. We may also write versions for the other display modes (320x400, 640x400 and H.A.M.) depending on the number of responses received. Future upgrades will be available to registered owners for a nominal fee of $5.00 to cover costs including postage and handling. DISCLAIMER: This program is distributed WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY.
