ICON_TOOLBOX Contents: 1. REGISTRATION DETAILS. 2. FULL UPGRADE. 3. COPYRIGHT 1. REGISTRATION DETAILS: If you like this programme and find it useful please register to Richard Biswas Flat 1 61 Warminster Road LONDON SE25 4DQ The registration fee is £10. You will then receive the current full version and the next significant upgrade when it becomes ready. When registering it would be useful if you say which version of workbench you are using and which features of this programme you use or dont use. Suggestions and bugs would also be very useful to know of. Please be as specific as possible with any comments, it doesn't matter if you send a big list! If you spot a bug I'll try to fix it without affecting the number of upgrades you get. I reserve the right to change the above scheme eg if you register from abroad and the bank commission is high I may only send the one upgrade. 2. FUTURE UPGRADES: The following features are in the current significant upgrade (December 94): 1. All mass icon operations may be performed on all subdirectories of a directory. 2. Smart window cleanup allows you to specify the order of positioning as well as allow you to do some of the positioning yourself. This is done via tool-types. You can also customize the bias towards directory icons. 3. Pattern matching for iconization and copying icons. For iconization you can specify a separate pattern for each type of object (type=data file, programme file, directory etc) Also pattern matching for changing the colours of icons to and from versions 1.3 and 2.0+. 4. No restrictions on icon types when iconizing: eg when iconizing you can use a directory's icon as template for data file icons. This is useful eg for iconizing ram: if you just want to "see" whats inside. 5. Put the picture of any non HAM window or screen into an IFF paint file. This is fully workbench 3.0 compatible, storing 24 bit colour. 6. Interactively create a palette file (a picture with one dot of each colour) from one or more IFF paint files. Eg merge palettes, shrink palettes, create a common palette for several paint files. 7. Automation of most of ICON_TOOLBOX's functions via AREXX. (eg smart cleanup your entire hard disk with just one double click!) You can have all your gadget selections snapshotted into an automatically created script file. You can then further edit this file eg adding loops or allowing user input. All kinds of compound functions may be created. 8. Also included is a little programme to set your default icons. This can be run from a shell or by icons. 9. There is a function to brighten IFF pictures. This is very useful for dark pictures before you colour remap. The programme is continuously being upgraded and enhanced on an ongoing basis. 3.
