and the SONIX Analog Synth (Aegis/OXXI).


Back again with Volume One of a two part collection of music by the great
French impressionist composer, Claude Debussy. Volume Two will follow later
on in 1991.

The four selections on this disk are taken from his piano suites CHILDREN'S
CORNER (1908) and SUITE BERGAMASQUE (1905). They are:

		1. The Snow is Dancing   (Children's Corner)
		2. Golliwogg's Cakewalk  (Children's Corner)
		3. Clair de Lune	 (Suite Bergamasque)
		4. Passepied		 (Suite Bergamasque)

A short note about loading times: Tracks 1 and 2 each take less than a
minute to load and track 4 takes about 1 minute 18 seconds. Track 3 (Clair
de Lune) on the other hand takes 2 minutes and 7 seconds to load! My
version of Clair de Lune on this disk is something of an experiment as it
incorporates passages of seven and eight part harmony! As we all know
(yawn!), the Amiga only has four discrete sound channels so I constructed
each individual chord required for the piece in SYNTHIA PRO and saved it as
a seperate sound file. Therefore, Clair de Lune has to load some 41
seperate sound files together with their related parameter files, which is
why it takes so long before you hear the results. I hope you think it is
worth waiting for!

CLAUDE ACHILLE DEBUSSY (1862-1918)

I had originally included biographical details about the composer but lack
of space meant they had to be omitted - too many big sound files...sigh!! I
hope to rectify this in Volume Two.

Sorry about the brevity, I'm out of room on the disk! I hope you enjoy the
music on this disk - and look out for Volume Two!
