I was a fan of the original Impossible Mission and when this came out I was really looking forward to getting my mits on this CD. Why? Simply because the package includes a perfect copy of the C64 game including the classic speech "Stay a while, stay forever" and so on. I felt a major nostalgia trip coming on! The actual Impossible Mission 2025 game is an extended version of the original game with better graphics and CD audio sound (from no other than Allister Brimble!). The basic gameplay is the same and as a result is brilliant. You get a choice of three characters, Tasha, ROM-2 and Felix but to be honest the choice of character makes virtually no difference in the game. In each level you have to search each room, by looking at each piece of scenery and discover pieces of an electronic key which will allow the player to leave the level. To hinder you along the way are robots of all kinds plus some helpful items such as guns, jetpacks and hologram disguises. The game is quite tough, yet very playable and is very challenging with many very large levels to complete. The game is very specific in its type of gameplay and many people won't enjoy it and may find it unplayable. If you haven't played the original game and enjoyed that your best bet is to try the game before you buy it.
