©MAG¢A³C²B í SUPRA'S 9600 & 14000 FAX MODEMS ²A³A Supra Corporation has released 2 new modems - the Supra Fax Modem V32 (9600) and Supra Fax Modem V32bis (14000). This article will give you some details about those modems. Both of the modems support 300-9600bps (Bell 103 / 212A, V.21 / 22A&B / 22bis / 23 / V.32), MNP 2-5/10, V42bis, 9600 send / receive fax (V.27ter / 29) class 1 / 2 (fax software - fax modem communication standard), caller ID and voice. (Voice and caller ID can be enabled through lowcost, user- installable firmware upgrades available mid-92) The v.32bis model adds ofcourse v.32bis (14400) and v.17 (14400 fax). The modems have 4 lights (RD / SD / OH / TR) and a LED display. The display shows the connection rate, compression protocol, error correction protocol, etc. in rotating fashion. The maximum baud rate you will able to connect at with a NORMAL HST is 2400. Depending on the age of the HST, you may get V42bis data compression connection. IF the user uses USR DUAL STANDARD modem, and it's set up correctly, you will be able to connect at a baud rate of 9600 (or 14400 if using v32.bis) And now some Supra Fax Modem features...
