  The following info is specifically for those who got a copy of LogicWorks at 
tonight's meeting: it is an instruction sheet that will help you to find your 
way around in that software; some of the items mentioned here are not 
mentioned anywhere else.
  
  *** It is fairly long, so if it doesn't interest you, hit space bar now . ***
 
  Starting up the demo - Turn on your machine and insert the Kickstart disk in 
the usual way (when you get access to the Version 1.2 Kickstart, use it, as 
logicworks is much more reliable with the new version).  When the machine asks 
for a Workbench disk, insert the LogicWorks Demo disk.  The system will start 
up and fire up Logicworks.
  
  Extend a signal line - by pressing and holding hte left mouse button with 
the pointer pointing anywhere along a signal line.  As longa as you hold the 
button, a vertical or horizontal line will follow your movements.  When you 
release the button, the line becomes permanent.
 
  Flip a switch - click on a switch to change its value.
 
  Change a device delay or clock speed - by clicking on the desired device  ( 
which will highlight it ) and selecting Device Params from the Options menu.
  
  Place a new device on the diagram - by selecting the device from the Devices 
menu and clicking the left mouse button where you want to place it.  You can 
then place more devices on the same type by moving and clicking at the desired 
positions.  Clicking hte right mouse button or selecting a menu item puts you 
back to the normal pointer.
    
  Scroll the circuit diagram - by moving the vertical or horizontal scroll 
bars at the edge of the window.
  
  Reorder the timing display - by clicking on and dragging the signal in the 
timing diagram.
 
  Remove a device or signal - by setting Zap from the Edit menu and clicking 
on your desired victim. Return to normal by clicking the right hand mouse 
button.
  
  Name a device or signal - by selecting Name from the Edit menu, clicking 
onthe desired device or signal,, then clicking where you want to put the name, 
then clicking on the cursor that appears, then typing the name, then RETURN.  
Three clicks, name Return!  ANy signal witha  name appears in the timing 
diagram.  Return to normal by clicking the right hand mouse button.
  
  Try another demo file - by selecting New in the file menu to get rid of the 
current one, then Open to select a new file.  Click in the name box and type 
Random Generator or Ring Oscillator.
