PERCEPTION GROUP REPORT By Mercenary of Perception Note: This file was up to date when submitted for Grapevine #19. Some parts of it, such as the members list, are no longer correct so refer to the other files on this disk! WHO WE ARE ========== Perception are a group who have been going for a while now. We have been slowly building up our group by advertising and this has been a great success. We already have some talented artists and musicians in the group (Though not too many coders - See later!) The group runs with one golden rule: FRIENDSHIP! All the members are encouraged to get in contact with each other in order to give advice and to improve their own skills. We are also friendly to any beginners who write to us, so if you are a beginner feel free to write to us at the address below. We may place a lot of emphasis on friendship, but this doesn't mean that we are inactive. Far from it! This is what we are working on at the moment: WORK IN PROGRESS ================ Prodigious Art: A slideshow which will feature the work of our artists. The artwork for this production is nearing completion, and the coding is going well. This will be our first major release. Death Ride II: We aim to make this game the ULTIMATE Tron style game, with loads of different options, including a null-modem link-up! Coding has halted on this production while the design is completed. All the members of the group are contributing to this production and it will not be released until everyone is happy with it! Also on the way are two intros which should be released in the near future. ALREADY AVAILABLE ================= Our two pack series are already available, so look out for them! They are: The Imaginative Collection: Around thirty disks of games and utilities. There are three sections...Games, Autobooting Utilities and Workbench/CLI Utilities. The autobooting disks boot up into a menu system which also gives access to the documentation. Amiga Mart loved them. Lunch Paks: Another run-of-the-mill demo pack, but the demos are new and the presentation is great. Who could ask for more? Just released is the first 40K Heaven pack. This pack series will only contain INTERESTING 40K demos. Think about....Around twenty good demos on one disk! The first disk has 22 demos and is spreading now. JOIN US! ======== You've read about us, so why not join us? If you are interested in the friendship that we offer and want to improve your skills in a non-pressured environment read on! We are currently looking for: * Coders * Artists * Musicians It doesn't matter if you are a beginner. As long as you show promise, and you are willing to improve, you could find yourself in the group! Now, a special plea to any coders who may be reading this: WE WANT YOU! We only have two coders at the moment, and one of them is me, and I can't work on too many things at once (I've got to manage the group as well remember!) WE HAVE THE POTENTIAL.....Our artists and musicians are skilled and their talents are just waiting to be tapped. It doesn't matter what language you use as we are only interested in the end results. That said, here is a list in order of preference: Assembler, C, Blitz Basic, AMOS. Ring me up on (0705) 258840 and we can have a talk about it. If you want, I'll send you a disk containing samples of our work so you can see if we are "worth it" (Belive me, we are!)
