Here is the small scene report for the home of the vikings. ¢ ABSOLUTE ¹ This hungarian elite group has a very talented member in Sweden. Its their graphician Rodney. Not much to say else... ³Famous Productions: Clairvoyance ²Wellknown Members: Rodney ¢ ALCATRAZ ¹ This group is one of the legends in Sweden. During this Summer they were Swedens best group but it didnt last long. Almost all members left for other groups. They were mostly known for their lack of coders and extremely good musicians and graphicians. But now they only have one unactive coder left.. ³Famous Productions: Memorial Songs ²Wellknown Members: Parsec ¢ DEFIANCE ¹ This is a group in south of Sweden, they are not so productive since they have only one decent coder. Anyway ¶their latest filedemo has been on the Eurocharts the latest issues... ³Famous Productions: Shangri La ²Wellknown members: Plugster, Nirvana, Sputnik. ¢ DUAL CREW SHINING ¹ Well... Perhaps the second best in Sweden right now. They have all the famous guys from Shining and Dual Crew. Lots of extremely good guys. Lots of foreign divisions of this group. ³Famous Productions: Vector Exterminator... ²Wellknown Members: Snuskbuske, Soul, Mike, Iridon and many more. ¢ EQUINOX ¹ This also an old legendary group in Sweden. They have very talented members but also lot of very lame members. If they would only have their good members they would be among the best in Sweden. They are mostly known for Euro Top 20. ³Famous Productions: Euro Top 20 and some small demos. ²Wellknown Members: Rioter and Valiant ¢ INFECT ¹ This is a quite new group here in Sweden, but they got an extremely talented coder. They have released ¶two very good dentros and a cool intro. If Exidor stays in Infect and they get some good graphicians, they will perhaps get among the best in Europe. ³Famous Productions: Equation, Swedish Natives. ²Wellknown Members: Exidor, Pace ¢ INFINITY ¹ This is a sort of freelance group with only four members. Deelite - musician, Diesel - graphician, Pace(ex.Accord) - musician, Bult - graphician. Pace and Bult have quit the scene, but Infinity is also a 'real' musicgroup so they are still members. Rumours say that a CD is under production right now, so hang on for further details! Deelite and Diesel will soon(party III?) release a musicdisk coded by Hammer/Razor 1911. Deelite has also given some leftover-music to Exceed's musicdisk, and the song which will be used in Noxious Party III-demo. Diesel has recently drawn Propaganda III(eh?) and Absolute Swedish.. ³Famous Productions: Absolute Swedish. ²Wellknown members: Diesel and Deelite. ¢ INSANE ¹ This group is mostly known because of some members bad reputation. Metal used to have a reputation of a ripper but is now one of Swedens best ¶coders. Duffy is a notorious ripper that is hated by 99% of the scene. Rumours says that they have got some members from Phenomena but that is probably just rumours. Anyway with Metal they are capable of beeing in the top of the Swedish Scene. ³Famous Productions: ---- ²Wellknown Members: Metal, Duffy ¢ MAD ELKS ¹ Just one member here in Sweden and that is the swapper Zombie. ³Famous Productions: -- ²Wellknown members: Zombie ¢ MOVEMENT ¹ This great group has only one swedish member as far as I know. But it is the legendary coder: Asterix! Also known as Alta of Rebels. He has not released anything under the Movement label, though... ³Famous Productions: --- ²Wellknown Members: Asterix ¢ NOXIOUS ¹ A quite old group. Mostly known for the Nopacks and lots of intros. They have several very talented members and is capable of competing with the best. They are also known of having ¶extremly good swappers. Outside Sweden, swappers like Cone/TRSI and Dark/Jetset has been members of Noxious. Other wellknown swappers that has been members of Noxious are Schizo, Logic, Hurricane and Limbo. ³Famous Productions: Smells Like Peanuts, Protracker and Nopacks... ²Wellknown Members: Crayon and Dolphin ¢ NOVA ¹ A quite old but also not so known group. They have some talented members and could perhaps be something in the future. They have nothing to do with the french group with the same name. ³Famous productions: Essential Classics. ²Wellknown members: Corel, Fazer, Lex and Freddy. ¢ ORBITAL ¹ Consists of a couple of talented university-guys that don't have the time to put something together. They have only released average stuff so far, but rumours say that they have some asskicking routines unreleased. ³Famous Productions: ---- ²Known members: Neuromancer, Dpp, Phantom ¶¢ PHENOMENA ¹ Old cult group in Sweden. Once the most popular group in the World. Now very unactive, even if rumours speak about Mantronix working on a new musicdisk... ³Famous Productions: Enigma, Joyride, Crystal Symphonies, etc.. ²Wellknown Members: Azatoth, Tip Mantronix, Firefox, Celebrandil, Color and many more.. ¢ RAGE ¹ This is a group that seems quite popular in Sweden even if they only release average demos. They are not really good but they have managed to win two democompos in a row here in Sweden. ³Famous Productions: Alchemy ²Wellknown Members: Abaddon ¢ RAZOR 1911 ¹ This legend has been reformed by some old swedish members. They release Propaganda and are working on several great products. ³Famous Productions: Propaganda and some other stuff.. ²Wellknown Members: Colorbird, Limbo Some1 & Prime. ¶¢ SCOOPEX ¹ An old division of this once so mighty group. Nowadays they only have a few unactive members left. ³Famous Productions: Not by the Swedes only.. ²Wellknown Members: Uno, Photon ¢ SILENTS ¹ The swedish division of Silents is the main division of Silents. They have released several known productions. They have the most known members in Sweden and are Swedens best group at the moment. ³Famous Productions: Something about TSL.., Enjoy the Silents and more ²Wellknown Members: Lizardking, Rayban, D-Zire, and Butch ¢ VIRTUAL ¹ This is a group that has quite talented members but they havent released anything of higher quality yet. Anyway its a friendly group that most people in the swedish scene has got friends in. They arranged the ECC-93 which were quite a fun party. They have also an extremely good musician that has come very high in several competitions. ³Famous Productions: --- ²Wellknown Members: Saturn, Toxic, D-Design and Alf ¶¢ X-TRADE ¹ X-trade was one of the best Swedish groups in the beginning of -93, but most active members left in Mars and only some boards were left. The most known production must be the slideshow/musicdisk Color Crime, but they have also released some average demos and below-average intros. Adder is perhaps most known(the rednosed swapper). ³Famous Productions: Color Crime ²Known members: Adder, Orgasmatron, Chucky, Voco ¼Some lesser known groups on the Swedish Scene are MYSTIC, NOICE, CHAOS AD, CLASSIC, TAURUS, SHINING 8, LIMITED EDITION, and OBSCENE... ½This article is a perhaps some weeks too old right now, since Infinity and Silents died! But who cares, all the other stuff are interesting enough!
