\F8\C3Let us skip to a few comments on reason two (2):\LF\LF

\C2Jealousy -\C1 where does it come from? Well, I really do not know. However,
I think it is quite natural to be jealous. Men and women of all time have
envied eachother a lot of things. To quote a swedish proverb: \C2"The grass
is always greener on the other side of your garden-fence".\C1 This means
that whatever success you might achieve in life, you are never satisfied.
You still want more. And in our "civilized" world, it is, as I said before,
natural to never be satisfied. And some people who want something tend to
use rather "foul" methods (I really do not know a better way to put it) to
get what they want. If you have studied some of the articles written about us,
you might understand what I am trying to say. I know that the people who
indirectly are being critisized by the above written will not admit any of it.
But I am pretty sure it is close to the truth, since \C2I was just as "bad" a
couple of months before 4-Mat left the scene.\C1 Well, that is about what I
wanted to say about this. But,\C2 I would like to add that being in the Eurochart,
or any chart does not mean ANYTHING!\C1 Do you make a lot of money from it?
Does the sun shine brighter on you? Does it in a radical way change your
life? The answer to all these questions is: NO! Sure, the first time you
enter a chart, it feels great! It is always nice when someone appreciates
what you have done. But, after that, it is, believe me, nothing special.\LF\LF

All right, now I will deal with some other rumours. I have tried to write
questions for myself (?) that will (I hope!) cover everything you want to
know. Hang on, you will understand, I promise! Here we go:\LF\LF

\C3"Who is really behind the tunes and the scrolltexts in Crystal Symphonies I ?"\LF\LF

\C1The tunes on CS I were 100 percent composed by Mantronix and Tip, \C2TOGETHER!
\C1They were NOT composed only by Tip OR Mantronix. The scrollers were all
written by us. We stand behind everything we have written there, even though
our opinions might have changed regarding a few things (opinions are allowed
to change, are they not?).\LF\LF

\C3"Who is really behind the tunes and the scrolltexts in Crystal Symphonies
II ?"\LF\LF

\C1During the production of CS II, \C2Robert "suffered" from a minor depression,
\C1you might say. Or you could say that he simply wanted to do other things than
sitting in front of his computer all day. What also made him sick of the
scene was that he was placed number one in the Eurochart. He never thought
he deserved that, \C2but it was NOT his fault he was voted number one.\C1 And the
people who did not think he should be number one, started to complain and
critisize him, while Robert could not in any way affect what was happening.
He was simply sick of it all. Since I really wanted to do a "CS II", together
with Robert, \C2I tried to motivate and persuade him to compose music on the
computer again,\C1 and not only on his synthesizer and guitar. Well, all this
resulted in that \C2I started most of the tunes on CS II,\C1 and that he helped
finishing them. So, in the end, he had a great part in the music-disk, even
though you could perhaps say that \C2I had done most of it.\C1 When it comes to the
scrolltexts, we wrote all of them together. Perhaps Robert or I wrote a text,
or two on our own. However the other always read through them, inserting or
deleting what he thought would be fitting. The bottom line is: \C2we are BOTH
behind everything written in CS II.\C1 I would like to take the time to
apologize to Oistein Eide for me and Robert writing what we did. Still, I
think that you, Oistein, if you try, can understand why we did it. Anyway,
we ARE sorry, the words we used were not appropriate. Looking back on CS II,
\C2we must say that we are not that satisfied with the result.\C1 It was difficult
to live up to the expectations CS I caused. The music could have been a bit
better, and so could the scrolltexts. All in all,\C2 it makes a very gloomy and
depressive impression on us.\C1 Still, no regrets.\LF\LF

\C3"Will there be more music-disks from Mantronix and Tip in the future ?"\LF\LF

\C1I guess there is no point in denying it anylonger. \C2We ARE working on a music disk that we hope will be finished around Christmas 92/93.\C1
It will (besides music) contain a lot of reading material that you can read if this article
does not satisfy your needs for knowledge about us. The new music-disk will
NOT be a "Crystal Symphonies III", but something completely different.
Wait and see!\LF\LF

\C3"How much money have you earned from making music for games and demos ?"\LF\LF

\C1We have not earned much making music for games, but perhaps we will in the
future. We have \C2NEVER been payed anything\C1 for making music for demos! Demos
are things that you do to show others that you are good with computers, NOT
to earn money. Exceptions of the above are of course demos especially made
for demo-competitions. Still, the amounts of money there involved can not be
considered very high, nor needed to mention. But believe me, we have never
ever asked a coder for money if he wanted music composed by us for his demo.
If you do not believe me, then just ask SIM of Razor 1911 or Alta of Rebels.
However, if the coder should end up winning a demo-competition, we think it
is only fair that the musician and graphician get a share of the prize money.
Anyway, I am sure you all agree with that.\LF\LF

\C3"Why do you always complain at music-competitions ?"\LF\LF

\C1I do not understand how it can be that many people \C2automatically
expect us to complain\C1 when we take part in a music-competiton. On only
two occasions it is possible to say that we have complained, and
these are: the Dexion-party in Denmark at
Christmas 1990/1991 and the Amega-party in Norway, the summer of 1991.
The reason for us complaining at the Dexion-party was that our tune
sounded very far from what it did on our stereos when the organizers
of the party played it during the competition. In fact, \C2it sounded like
shit!\C1 And if you have been working many hours to get a tune ready for
a competiton, you will, to say the least, be a little upset if the
organizers (unintentionally) destroy your work.\LF\LF\CT\C2<TURN PAGE>\XX
