@3 Dear Steve, Thankyou for for the Amoszine mag, It was a good read. I am especially interested in teaming up with others and producing sonething special, and could do with some money, which I find is the best motivator. I have plenty of time on my hands as I am on the dole. Have been for two years, and that is why I started using Amos, to make some money. I have had only one game published and that was the original elevation. I sent it to 17bit and got a bit of a shock whan it appered on the shelves of my local newsagent! Amiga Action Feb 92. (I think) Up until yesterday I thought that I was the only person living still using Amos, But there must be Ooooh A couple a hundred half decent coders out there. I will give your mag all the suport I can but writing articles is not really my thing. A quick tip. To get over twice as many bobs moving smoothly do this:- screen open etc. blah: blah: blah Synchro off rem main loop do synchro blah blah wait vbl wait vbl loop I only discoverd this yesterday but the use of an extra Wait vbl results in over double the bobs, and the speed of the game remained constant, no matter how many you remove from the screen. Give it a try and you will know what I mean. It has opened new doors for me. It makes a shoot em up in amos a realistic possability. Oh well, thats it I think. Keep up the good work and good luck. Bye! Lee Wilson. P.S Get the new Ride album, Carnival of Light. Its Cosmic man! ============================================================================ @2 From: Reg Bottomslip, Bench 4, Victoria Tube. Dear Steve and Lee, Ok so my column wasn't that good/imformative but I liked it, even though nobody else did! Amoszine is a great mag but lacks humour and this is what I offered you, just because you have the humour of a strawberry blamanche dosen't give you the right to deprive your readers of my great talent. As I have been relegated from my own coloumn to the crap letters page I may as well give you a taste of what you could of had this issue. My predictions for Commodore's future: @2 Commodore will be bought out by the management of Commodore, the same people who don't have a clue about marketing and finance. So The new Commodore will probably go the same way as the old. The CD32 will either be superceded by a 64 bit CD Amiga console or will be another A500+ job and production will end by summer 95. Developers will stop writing CD32 specific titles by then to concentrate on the new Super Amiga Home Computer, The A1400, with CD attached. Alan Sugar will Import a German engineer called Consman to work on A Virtual Reality Amiga to be called Amiga CD-VR. This of course will be another CDTV type marketing ploy, no advertising, bad distribution/bugged OS and wrong pricepoint. Amiga Inc (The new company formed by EX-Commodore management) will, in desperation give away A1200's free with the Amiga CD-VR. This kills sales of the A1400. and eventually Amiga Inc. With virtually no competiton in the home computer market Amiga Inc fails to capitalise on a near monopoly (same old story) You got to laugh haven't you? @3 Reg B
