is  a  tradition,  that  the  most fat
citizen   of  the  village  rides  the
oldest  and  weakest donkey, until the
animal breaks down.  Then it's striked
to death with stones and heavy sticks.
This  is considered to be the "climax"
of  the  annual carnival celebrations.
Massive  international  protests  were
able to prevent that atrocity in 1991.
I  want  all animal lovers, especially
school  classes,  to  write down their
protest   against   this   action.   A
success  would  surely be realized all
over  Spain,  and  this  might help to
stop  all those so called "traditions"
in  this  country.   I  am thinking of
bullfights and the like.
