³¼THE TRUTH ABOUT¼³ ³¼THE ANALOGY PARTY¼³ ¹ As many groups and some fucking assholes have given misinformation about Analogy's HiTech Party in 1992 in Finland, I think it is the Analogy's turn. We are calling this intro a "Fucktro". Why, you will find out soon enough. So why are we doing this Fucktro now? After all, it has been a long time since we had the party. The reason is that recently we have received many diskmags that have had party reports that had many errors, some of them can be said to be lies. So, now we are going to tell you what happened before, at and after the party (taken from The Diary of Analogy ;) : August 1992 -- Started planning. We were not many, in fact we were too few. We started planning the party in a local BBS and some interested friends helped Analogy to make our dream a reality. Autumn 1992 -- We visited every bureau in the city. We filled in dozens of forms and talked to many people - many of them were not cooperating at all. Most of the work was made by only TWO of us. (Guess who) We released two invitation intros. Synx received hundreds of phone calls. Party day, 11.12.1992 -- We got to the school only THREE hours before the first visitors arrived. We did not have enough time to make everything work, and we did not have enough manpower to make the place suitable for the party in that time. The short time we had was because we had had some arguments with the school and they tried to make our lifes as hard as possible. There were about 300 visitors, NOT 100 or 150 as some diskmags say. First party night -- Everybody was drunk. Boozing. Totally wasted. And ruining the whole place. Technology failed more than once. (But Amigas could take it! Thanks Commodore! PC SUXX) In the evening, it was quite peaceful, because everybody was just starting to feel the alcohol, but at about midnight, everything went over the top and we had fights, graffiti painting, bottles crashing, mutilating, killing, murders, police, beer all over the floors, passed out guys (greets members of Damones), confiscated axes and about 20 confiscated vodka bottles. (The police took axes and we had to assure them that we can handle everything.) Saturday morning -- About 3 A.M. things started to cool a bit. We were cleaning up corridors and making barricades so that we had some place that was not completely wrecked. Then we discovered that some fucking asshole idiot had broken a SECURITY glass door. (Price: 2000 FIM and insurance did not pay.) Some other things had also been smashed, including overhead projector stands, chairs (that we had to retrieve from the frontyard) and tables that everybody had been kicking about. Morning -- Everybody started to wake up and come back from the police station (again greets Damones ;). Everybody was looking very lousy. We could not afford the partygoers to spend the next night in the classrooms. If anything else had been smashed, we would have been financially broke. We had to move everything to the big hall. We HAD to. We are sorry if someone had problems with it. Saturday -- We had the compos and so on. Technology failed again so many times that everyone was starting to get angry. NOTE: Here we correct some of the lies that have been told: * Someone said that we had not enough hardware to run the realtime music compo. We had! Only that we did not need any more because we did not have so many competitors. * Someone thought that the demos that we played after the democompo were in the competition. They were not. Just that it seems that those idiots did not know anything. Next night -- Peaceful. Remember the confiscated liquors? Someone drank them. (Greets to Damones.) Well, we had many people coming to us that night saying that the party was successful. Next day -- We washed. We fixed. We cleaned. We burned our hands with industrial-class washing liquids. We got allergic reactions from the cleaning stuff (Avatar says: my lips were bleeding three days after the party, and our fingers lost their skin.) Fuckings to all those damned graffiti people! Everybody went out. Also, most of us went home. But three of us had to stay and clean the place up, and it took a loooooong time. (Guess who three?) Afterwards -- We slept. We had had so few people organizing the party that we had to be up all time long. (Synx was awake for 60 hours, without sleep, and the others were not far behind.) You can imagine why we were a bit angry at the end of the party. Next week -- Synx had to phone up every bureau and tell what had happened and why the school smelled like beer and vodka. And why the police had visited the place. Next week -- We had our first bills. They were bigger than we expected and our money was running low, so we had to wait for a long time before we paid the prizes. We had to wait for all bills before we paid the prizes (of course). NOTE: We really paid the prizes! The 1st prize of democompo was 236.03 English pounds (equivalent to about 2000 FIM). The first prize of introcompo was 1000 FIM. (We can proof everything.) Insurance did not cover anything. The current situation of Analogy: We are NOT dead as some fucking infantile asshole said. We are even going to release a demo soon. In a BBS near you. Note to all diskmags: BEFORE you publish, CHECK EVERYTHING. There are many losers that want only their names to be published and write all sorts of crap. We do not say that the party was a success but there have been too many LIES. Signed ³Synx & Avatar of Analogy¹ ²TOP SECRET ANSWER:¹ Well, we are honstely very sorry that the news we published in last issue, about your party, offended you. But you must try to understand that it is impossible for us to check all the news we get, as we get an incredible amount. That's why we always write in the beginning of the news-section that we cannot take any responsibility of wrong news. Anyway, we hope that you with this article has got what you wanted, and I'm sure the public has got another view on your party. But as said before, we are very, very sorry that the news were wrong, beleive us, we know how irritating wrong news about your own group are. Oh, by the way, thanx for putting us first in your 'fuckings' list in your intro. We really like this form of mature behaviour.......NOT ! ³TFG/MUD OF MAJIC 12¹
