2 6 aad 47a c7c ÊÌ " JFK "ÉË ------------------------------------ Èby ÊTOMMYÈ ÉCategory : ÈThriller ÉPlaying Time : È3 h 10 min ÉDirected by : ÈOliver Stone ÉProduced by : ÈA. Kitman Ho & ÈOliver Stone ÉScreenplay by : ÈOliver Stone & ÈZachary Sklar ÉActors : ÈKevin Costner, ÈKevin Bacon, ÈTommy Lee Jones, ÈLaurie Metcalf & ÈGary Oldman ÉTHE STORY È "JFK" is based on the books : "On The Trail of The Assassins" by Jim Garrison and "Crossfire : The Plot That Killed Kennedy" by Jim Marrs. Through the film we follow Ê Jim GarrisonÈ, a public prosecutor from New Orleans, and his colleagues in their lonely struggle to solve the mystery surrounding the killing of ÊPresident John F. Kennedy. È As the case develops they get more and more certain that the official version of the killing is wrong. The trails leads to the government, FBI, CIA and Ex-Cubans, but the problem is to prove the connection. Garrison's witnesses are either killed in mysterious "accidents" or threatened, after they have agreed to cooperate with Garrison and his men. Soon his investigation threatens his private life, but Garrison is fixed on continuing his fight against the system. ÉTHE FILM È "JFK" is rather unusual directed. ÊOliver StoneÈ uses much original film-recordings and mix them with own studio-recordings, which makes it pretty hard to decide what is authentic and what is not. But all in all the over 3 hour long film is beautifully made, as we know Oliver Stone can and which he has proven on several occasions in Ê "Born On the 4th of July"È andÊ "Platoon"È. Oliver Stone recently won a Golden Globe award as best director and "JFK" is certain to be nominated for several "Oscars". The film as gotten very good critics, but is criticized because of it's dangerous treatment of history. If you're certain that president Kennedy was killed by a lonesome assassin, this film will make you think twice... ÉTHE ACTORS È On a press-conference recently, ÊKevin CostnerÈ said that the role as Jim Garrison was his most important yet, and, in my opinion he manages this task perfectly. But it isn't only Costner who impresses, people like Ê Kevin BaconÈ (Tremors), ÊTommy Lee Jones È (The Package), Ê Gary OldmanÈ,Ê Sissy Spacek È (Carrie), ÊDonald Sutherland È (A Dry White Season),Ê John Candy È (Uncle Buck), ÊJack Lemmond È (Dad) and Ê Joe Pesci È(Goodfellas) do their things excellent. "JFK" will probably be one of the best movies in 1992. It's provocative, exciting, powerful, unique and amazingly well made. If you haven't seen it yet you better act now or you will regret it for the rest of your life. ÊLH:É I was with Tommy at the cinema and I can't understand how Tommy is able to write this article. The only thing he did was looking at VERY nice girl beside him! ÿ
