2 5 aad 47a c7c ÊÌ 2 X NEW SPRINGSTEEN ALBUMSÉË ------------------------------------ Èby ÊTOMMYÈ ÉBruce "The Boss" SpringsteenÈ fans can look forward to around April this year. At about that time Springsteen will release, not only one, but two new albums ! Titles: É"Human Torch"È and É "Lucky Town". ÈAlready in the first week of March a single will be released and "The Boss" also plans a gigantic tour! It's been along time since we've heard anything from him, more precisely Autumn 1987 when he released É "Tunnel Of Love"È, followed by a world-tour in 1988. Both albums will be released simultaneously and they are told to be quite different from each other. The rumours about a new LP has come and gone these past two years, but except from producing two kids, Springsteen have been very quiet. But he has nevertheless been working, because "Human Torch" includes 14 new tracks, while "Lucky Town" contains 10. The single will probably be the title-track from "Human Torch". ÊONE YEAR IN STUDIO È "Human Torch" is Bruce Springsteen's 10th album and is recorded during a period of one year in different studios in Los Angeles, where he lives together with his wife Patti Scialfa. Producers are Bruce himself, Jon Landau (manager), Chuck Plotkin and E-Street Band-member Roy Bittan. Last-mentioned is the only one from the old band who contributes. The rock-star has also rented several famous musicians: Randy Jackson (bass), Jeff Porcaro (drums, Ex-Toto). Mark Isham plays trumpet, while David Sancious contributes on the keyboard in addition to the main-musician on this instrument, Roy Bittan. Springsteen plays of course guitar and Bobby Hatfield, Bobby King, Sam Moore and Patti Scialfa help with the vocals. Ê NEW TWIST ? È "Lucky Town" will be Springsteen-album number 11, recorded in his home-studio. The last time he recorded at home was in 1982, when É "Nebraska"È was made. "Nebraska" was surprisingly simple and gloomy. Will he do the same twist this year ? Roy Bittan, Randy Jackson and Gary Mallaber (drums) are musicians on "Lucky Town", while Lisa Lowell, Patti Scialfa and Soozie Tyrell contributes on vocals. Producers are the same as on "Human Torch" We mark our calenders in April and look forward to albums of the same sort as É"Born In The USA"È.
