2 7 7be bb9 38a ÌÊ SUNJOHN TELLS ABOUT HIS DEMO Ê------------------------------------ ÈË At the party at Aars, Sunjohn competed with a completely different demo than we have seen before. Let us hear what he think about it: ÉWhy did you make a different demo? Was you tired of all those normal demos? ÊI don't think that it is very different. Like all normal demos, it has got: È - A lot of filled vector - A raytraced animation - Vectorbobs - Vectorplots - Some pictures - A big scroller - A textwriter ÊBut you're right. Normal demos makes me sick! ÉDid you like the music in your demo? ÊIt is the ÌWORSTË music I've ever heard! Well, Mad Freak has done some nice work, but I've heard better modules from him. (It's just standard music from him, he says.) But he is FUCKING SLOW and uses a hell lot of memory (The two modules in the demos uses $24000 and $30000). ÉDon't you think a more serious atmosphere would get the demo better liked? ÊI don't know - I don't care! But we might try to be a bit more serious next time. ÉI guess the demo was quite a joke of Digital innovation. Don't you like that demo? ÊTechnically it seems like a brilliant demo, but I don't know! I always fall asleep, when it reaches the Vector Amiga. Seriously, it so ÌBOOOOOORIIINGGGG Ë (Sorry Rush, Icronite etc.) It is the typical example of a standard demo. Zooming vectors, jumping vectors, no new ideas, a slow textwriter and even the music was just standard. ( Nuke is better than that!) And 26 minutes! Far too long. 3d demo takes about 9 minutes for 2 disks, and then you don't have the time to get bored. (Gonna bet! Ed.) ÉDo you know that everything Anarchy makes enters the Charts either it is good or bad (Just look at Digital innovation?) ÊThat's because Anarchy is so cool, that people don't have to see the demos before they voted for the charts. they know that it's cool. Digital Investation was just an exception. It's the same thing with other groups like Phenomanna and Slimelents. ÉWas the Bad design in your demo because of Mikeal Balle had not the time to work with you? ÊThat was not the main reason. I had the louzy design, because many of my routines were done with copper-blits. The routines were a little faster than with normal blits. At the time of coding them, I didn't think about design. ÉHave you some plans for future releases? ÊYeah, a few. Most Anarchy members are working on Demo Deluxe, our major trackmo. It was supposed to use 4 disks, but after the release of Odyssey, we want to use 6 disks, because we want the RECORD. We in EOKDP (Slash, Mad Freak and Sunjohn) are also working on a 3d game, which will be ready in about 6 months. (We hope!) ÉWhy did you quit Silents and joined Anarchy? ÊThere were several reasons. Balle&Kyd decided to stop being active on the scene. (Which they didn't do anyway) and there was quite bad internal communication in Slajents. I didn't know about the party '91 until I got the invitation from Mad Freak that at that time was in Brainstorm. I then called 2 other members of Svinepels, who didn't know about it either! ÉOk, Have you some other words to share with the viewers? ÊYes, Turn the page please! ÿ
