ÈWhat's  happening  in Cryptoburners?
One of the former Elite group on the
Amiga.   Are  they  DEAD?   Are they
ever   gonna  show  up  with  a  new
excellent  demo?   We have asked the
most famous coder in this group

Èto clear up the mess there have been
around CRB the last months.

Most  people  in  Norway  know  that
there  have  been  several  internal
problems  in  CRB  lately.   "Nobody
knows what happens" was common among
the members before.

ÊTEC:

ÉCryptoburners  has  been  quite lacy
lately.   Many  have  been and is in
the   military  (Heatseeker  has  15
months in the marine) A new thing in
the  group  is  that we have started
contacting each other and we discuss
the  future  of  the group.  We have
started  a  clean  up  in the group.
People who don't will do anything in
the   scene   more  is  kicked  out.
Vectorman is one of them.

In   the  easter  we  will  have  an
internal  meeting.  There will be no
releases before that meeting.

ÈOk,  It's  good to know that CRB has
started  to think of their comeback.
What  about yourself and the coding?
A  lot  of people think you have the
fastest routine!

ÉIf  people  really are so interested
in   who   has   made   the  fastest
vectorroutine I can mention that the
months  after "Hunt for 7th October"
I improved the routine considerably.
At the moment I have no plans to use
this routine in a demo.

Besides   I   think   it's   of   no
importance to compare speeds to such
routines.   It's  no  problem to get
fast   vector  if  you  rip  it  for
effects  ,  have a unformel form and
make them useable only in some cases.

ÈHmmmm, Other coders I have spoken to
seem  to  think  that  the  speed is
Alpha   &   Omega  to  make  a  good
vectordemo.   But  now  let  us talk
about your future plans?

ÉIn  my  future  plans on the Amiga I
see  no  demos  (At the moment!).  I
have  some  very  brilliant ideas in
how  to  improve  the vectorroutines
and  I burn to realise them.  But if
I do it is is another question.  The
enjoyment  to  program  is  to  find
simple  (and quick) solutions to big
problems,  not  to  brief  with fast
routines  through  a boring demo.  I
think  the  ideas about new routines
would only make one coder happy if I
showed it to him.

The  development  in demos have come
so  far  that you have to use a hell
of  a lot time to make a demo.  I am
not  sure if is worth it.  Of course
you get famous and prizes.  I feel I
have got my part of fame and prizes.
But don't write me off, maybe I will
make  a  demo  in this year.  You'll
never know!


ÈNow  we  know  that Cryptoburners is
not  dead.   We  know  what TEC feel
about  making  more  demos.   I hope
this  article  will  stop  the nasty
romours     going    around    about
Cryptoburners.    Next  issue  there
will  maybe  be a complete interview
with  TEC.   Those  who live so long
will see
