2 7 88c A6a 386 ÊÍGONG !Ë A-É Lets have a quick overlook over most used programming-language here at the end. On PC's the most used language is C and Pascal. We have the same on Amiga but Amiga-programmers use assembler for speed. Speed is a good point. Remember that PC is a commercial machine. It doesn't need speedy algorithm and blues, but quantity before quality. ÊPC-È Well, the most interesting thing on PC-programming is their way of doing new types of programming like Object-Oriented-Programming (OOP). Languages used here is SmallTalk, C++, Actor. To really support the words "quantity before quality" PC uses very much fourth generation language. I won't comment this type of language any further, as this mag wants to retain a certain type of quality. ÊA-É Yes, but the Amiga has hardware-sprites and bobs which takes care of a lot of the animation. That's for animation in games and demos. The Amiga has a very creative and technical good scene. People make something if it is difficult to make it. Most of the animations available on PC's are dirty animations. People on Amiga doesn't make it anymore because it is not advanced enough. In PC's you have no fun, only business and money. This pressure makes bad software with not only bugs, but direct errors in them. When people on PC's looks at a demo on the Amiga, they asks "What is the point of this ?". Their NeXT step is to call it not serious. After a couple of years it is possible to make the same things on PC. Then the PC-owners have changed their tone to "Hey, look here what's possible". Then they call a demo good and serious programming. The point here is "A new category/style of computers or software are not considered serious, until IBM-clones can do the same". On every machine you will have 80-90 percent which are not really computer freax or interested in programming. On Amiga these people doesn't reach the top. Either they don't try or they are punched back. On the IBM-scene it is possible to reach the top if you have a million bucks in your pocket. All you need is money to be at the top in the IBM-scene. This is one thing which makes PC's very boring. People using PC are older than those on Amiga. PC-users don't dare to use their imagination. They still think that their generation will see the end of the computer-business and the hole computer-story. Ê (HOLY SHIT ! THE PC IS DOWN AGAIN !! HE'S NOT MOVING ! LOOK LIKE HE'S UNCONSCIOUS ! ..8....9...10 THE PC IS OUT !!) T:É I DON'T BELIEVE ! Ì THE AMIGA IS THE NEW CHAMPION ! Ë After an exciting and close fight, with both contenders knocked down, the world-cham- pion hit the floor and, believe it or not, he's still not moving !!! Ê LH:É Yes, the PC's is surrounded by doctors and it looks like.- ..yes, they're giving him electric shocks. This looks pretty serious ! Ê T:É Let's hope he isn't badly injured. Ê LH:É They are taking him out on stretchers now, and he's still not moving. ÊRing Announcer:È Ladies & Gentlemen. The match was stopped 2 minutes through the 5th round.......Winner on knock-out and the new champion of the computer-world: Ì .......AMIGA ! ÊË T:É We just got a very shocking message here: Apparently the PC died of the injuries he got from this match. The doctors tried all they could, but it's life was out of reach.
