ÌÉ         MON - A DISASTER!Ë

The new ÉMON Èguys (Tip, Mantronix and
0istein  Eide)  ÉTHINKS Èthat they are
the  only ones who can make music in
this  world.  They say that you have
to  work  3-4  years  to  get enough
experience to make good music.  They
say  if  you  have  not  worked well
enough  through a song you can throw
the  song  in  a dustbin.  Everybody
know  that you don't need 4 years of
experience  to  do  a  good piece of
music..    I  know  that  experience
makes one better.  But the talent is
most  essential  in  order  to put a
good  song  together..   If you have
less  talent  you  can't  make it by
making a song technical advanced.

ÉExample: È   Look  at  the  Billboard
list..   Is it the the most advanced
song  who  stays as number one?  NO!
Is it the most experienced?  NO!  It
is   the   people   who  decide  who
deserves  the  number  one spot, not
the  composers.   I think MON should
be  claimed nr.1 by the scene NOT by
themselves..

Maybe  they  are the best, who fucks
know?   But why do they have to tell
the  rest  of the world this all the
time..  A real number one don't have
to  tell  all the time that they are
the ÉBEST.

Lately  we  have  seen an article in
Zine  10  telling  us  how good they
are.  About all the musicians in the
scene  who was not good enough to be
in  MON..  and about Walkman who was
kicked out because he had not enough
talent...   In  the  musicians about
musicians  in  Zine...   Which  song
became   nr.1..    I  guess  it  was
Walkman's  song  " Klisje pa Klisje"
It  was voted best song on the Amiga
of  the  best musicians.  So I guess
he  got  lot's  of  talent  to  be a
member of MON..

MON  have  copyright  on  all  their
samples..   So  if  anyone use their
samples  they  will go to court!!  I
think  this is quite dangerous.  The
samples  are allready copyrightet by
Yamaha  if it is a Yamaha synth.  So
how   can   MON  have  copyright  on
something which they have not made.

In  a  Brainstorm  production  I was
quite   amused   to   see  following
statement  from 0istein...  " On the
synth  I make Ébetter Èmusic than Jean
Michel   Jarre"   Whaauuu!!,   I  am
impressed!!   But  I  dont  see  the
record!     I   visited   my   local
recordshop,  but I couldn't find it!
I  would  recommend  0istein to kick
his  manager  and  the recordcompany
because  of bad advertising.  Nobody
I know have ever heard your music !!

I  know  ÉMONÈ  have  participated on
different   parties...   But  seldom
they  have  got  among the 3 best...
At  the  Amega  party  in Porsgrunn,
They  didn't get ranked among the 10
best...

I  think  that  the best musician in
the  scene is MOBY/Dreamdealers..  I
would  rather  listen  to his music,
than  listen to the music of Maniacs
of Noise..

MON,  I  think  you  should open the
eyes and see the fact.  You are good
musicians,  but  don't  think you're
superios.   Get  your  feet  on  the
ground   and  continue  making  good
music without boasting that much.  I
think  that  you  will  get rewarded
sooner or later.

Mon   have   lost   much   of  their
reputation.   The  last months there
have  been too much trouble.  People
goes  in  and  people getting kicked
out.   I guess what MON need know is
silence   and  hopefully  they  will
rebuild  the  reputation  they  have
gained the last years.
