2 5 9bd 369 934 ÌÉ About the charts... È------------------------------------ ËÉ'Fuck, not another article about the charts!!' È you think. Well it is, but this time it is a bit different (I think). I don't want to put the blame on to anyone, except YOU. Yes, you read correctly. You, the brainless moron that couldn't think for yourself. Let me start the story at the Porsgrunn party. On Friday Crusaders released their ever popular EuroChart, and later that day or the next (I can't remember) some dudes were spreading vote-forms to everyone. Well, nothing wrong here. Later that day I went for a walk and what did I see... Well, most of the people who just got the EuroChart and had nothing better to do, decided to write down their votes. Great..but, what do they do.., when they can't think of anything to write, they load the EuroChart and write down whatever is on top. Just so they can fill out the vote- forms and since they voted on all the top games and demos Crusaders will probably think that you are very 'IN'. Well, I say 'Bollocks'. Everyone conplains that Red Sector are still at the top, well it is because stupid lamers that can't think for themselves. Instead of just leaving the space open, but 'oh no' they got to fill in ÉEVERYTHINGÈ in all the categories. You can trace the fault even futher back, this time to the PD-companies who sell 'The greatest demo ever on Amiga' or 'Red Sector - still going strong'. These wankers are still selling demos that are 2 YEARS old. The lamers get some nice parcels from their PD company which contains: É- The Brilliant Red Sector Mega-demo - The latest EuroChart - Sound of music - the demo È The lamer is thrilled. He doesn't know that the Red Sector mega-demo is prehistoric. Then he read through the EuroChart, and decides to be 'rad'. He is going to ÊVOTE. ÈGoes around telling all his mates that his name is going to be in the EuroChart, and he , of course, voted for the Red Sector mega-demo. Great! And yet again the Red Sector mega-demo is in the top 10 in the EuroCharts. Now the whole process repeats itself. Brilliant! Just one more thing, to all you guys who BUY demos and PD-stuff, don't believe everything you read. When have you ever read: É- New kids on the block - the slideshow 'shit, don't buy it!!'È This is something you would never see in PD-ad. Because PD-companies just want to make money of other people's hard (?) work. The scene is now waking up to this. The PD companies are going loco, because the can't get any new stuff and have to keep flogging the some old shit as the usually do. Last in this article, I just want to say that, I have nothing against Red Sector or the EuroChart. But you must agree that the Red Sector mega-demo is getting fucking ancient. ÊKingpin/New Waveÿ
