ÊLars UlrichÈ

Drums.   Born 26th December, 1963 in
Copenhagen,     Denmark.      Formed
Metallica  in  1981.   In  the first
years he took care of their business
affairs until Q Prime Management got
the  job,  but he's still the band's
spokesman.    Together   with  James
Hetfield  the  most  important  song
writer of Metallica.


ÊJames Alan HetfieldÈ

Rhythm  guitar  and vocals.  Born on
August   3rd,   1963.    Played  for
Obsession  and Leather Charm, before
he  formed  Metallica  together with
Lars  Ulrich.   In  addition to Lars
Ulrich,   the  most  important  song
writer of Metallica.


ÊDave MustaineÈ

Lead   Guitar.    Friend   of  James
Hetfield,  who  was fired because of
his  drinking and playing abilities.
Later he formed the band Megadeth.

ÊKirk "The Hamster" HammettÈ

Lead Guitar.  Born on November 18th,
1962.   Played  for  Exodus until he
was  offered  to  replace  the fired
Dave        Mustaine.         Taught
guitar-playing   by   Joe  Satriani.
Collector    of   pre-historic   toy
animals  and  everything  to do with
comics.


ÊClifford Lee BurtonÈ

Bass.   Born on February 10th, 1962.
Died at the age of 24, in a tragic
bus-accident  on  26th of September,
1986.     Joined   Metallica   after
playing for Trauma.  One of the best
bass-players  ever in the history of
Heavy Metal.


ÊJason NewstedÈ

Bass.   Born  March 4th, 1963.  Most
important  songwriter  of  Flotsam &
Jetsam, until he joined Metallica as
replacement   for  Cliff  Burton  in
November 1986.
