HI!

The  following  info is used to convert the US 70 CM coverage into the
european standard:

1. Turn the radio off and remove the battery pack.

2. Look at the bottom of the radio, with the top upwards.

3. Remove four screws for the battery terminal plate.

4. Look inside the unit and find the BLUE LOOP WIRE.

5. Cut it at re-assemble the unit carefully.

6. Install the battery.

7. Reset the microprocessor (Press and hold the [FUNC] key,
   then turn power on).


The DJ-580T may also be modified for extended frequency coverage.
Follow the previous instructions but change step 4:

4. Look inside the unit and find the RED LOOP WIRE.


Note: There is no warranty for any specs. for out of ham band.
Performing this modification may void the warranty.
