README This disk is a tutorial on selling your photographic skills, and is one of a series of similar disks on various photographic subjects. Disks are available from good PD libraries - they were placed with 17-BIT initially, or from the author. The program should run on all Amiga computers and is on OFS disks for this reason. A list of all completed programs is available from the author on receipt of an SAE. Each disk runs from WORKBENCH in order to conserve space on the disk and to make the workbench printing and CLI functions available if required. Simply double click in the usual way on the icon to start the 'AUTOEXEC.AMOS' program. Should you experience loading difficulties, you may not have enough chip memory - the initial screen asks if you want sound - pressing 'ESC' should solve that problem. The main menu opens and shows an index to the program. Click on buttons as you require to work your way through it. Some pages may take you to others, or to text or pictures via their buttons. In other cases, just clicking the left mouse button returns you to the menu. Due to a series of problems with the first version of this tutorial, written with HYPERBOOK, concerning 1200 compatibility, the program was rewritten with AMOS. Other tutorials available deal with Composition, Portraiture, A Different Approach to Subjects, Flash Photography, Close Up Photography, and buying cameras and equipment. Some disks also include secondary programs which will be indicated by other icons in the disk window. The author retains copyright of the program and all pictures appearing in it, other than those obtained from public domain sources, which were not taken by the author. Any coloured images used are from HAM or 256 colour originals, and are usually reduced to 16 colours for memory conservation. This does make the colours a little strange in many cases ! i have considered writing only for the 1200/400, but this is hardly fair on the large number of Workbench 1.3 and 2.04 users out there. HARD DRIVE INSTALLATION... In the drawer 'HD', is a version of the program with paths adjusted for a hard drive partition called 'WORK'. If you have such a partition, as most people do, then you can install the tutorial to it. The small program, 'HARD COPY', has NOT been modified for hard drive. Create a directory called 'SELL1' in your 'WORK' partition and cop all of the files from both disks into it except... HD, HARDCOPY, HARDCOPY.info, AutoexecAmos, Autoexec.Amos.info, Introduction.TXT.info, and Readme.info Now, open the drawer 'HD' and copy all of the files in there directly into your directory, SELL1. You should now be able to run the tutorial from your hard drive. DISCLAIMER All material on this disk is correct to the best of the author`s knowledge. The author cannot be held responsible for the misuse of chemicals in any way. Always remember that all chemicals are potentially dangerous and should be used with care. Wear rubber gloves if your skin is at all delicate. Chemical solutions should be mixed in the order given in a smaller than stipulated volume of warm water. Each chemical must fully dissolve before the next is added. Solution volumes should be made up the correct total when all mixing is complete. This program is copyright of the author. Most of the illustrations are also the authors copyright, although some were taken from PD CD's and are thus not copyright. DOCUMENTS Almost all documents on this disk are in ASCII format, and thus may be printed out. Because the disk is booted from workbench, you can use the features in workbench if you like. Each text file can be printed from it's last page. Make sure your printer is switched on and loaded with paper before pressing 'X'. If you open the SHELL, (CLI) and type.... Copy : to PRT: i.e. Copy DF0:README to PRT: Then the document, `README` will be sent to your printer as long as it is `on line`. You may have to make the 'copy' command resident if you only have 1 drive.
