      To start off you will have to tell the diary where you want your 
entries to be saved to. To do this click on the Select Drive icon. (It's on 
the bottom left corner of the diary screen.) This will bring up a requestor,
you can either click on one of the gadgets corresponding to a drive, or
if you want to be more precise you can click on the Select Drive icon and 
using the file requestor locate where you want your entries saved. If you
are happy with your selection just click on OK, if not click on Cancel.
After doing so a directry will be created where you selected it to be called
Diary_Entries. Dear Diary will save your choice to the S: directory of your
system disk and recalled when needed.

       The other icons are Quit which exits to the workbench screen.
       
       @{"About" Link ShareWare} shows information about the programer (ME!)
       
       The Workbench icon will open or shut the workbench screen. To switch
to this screen hold down the Left Amiga Key and then press 'A' and the same
is used to get back to Dear Diary. Note: there is a bug in AMOS it's self
which causes screen Modulo errors when switching screens on an Amiga 1200,
to overcome this you will have to keep pressing LAmiga+A until it is normal
Sorry about this but there is no other way. (if somone has a fixed version
of AMOS I would be gratfull if they would send me a copy.) 

       Change Password is used to (-errr) change the password. More than 
person can use Dear Diary at a time so it is possible to have a password
for each user. 

       The Last icon of all is in the shape of a diary strap. Click on this

       Dear Diary's text editor will display the currently edited date
which can be changed by clicking on the yellow arrow icons. It works like
a video recorder.
                   ||< back one year    |< one month < one day. 
                   >|| forward one year >| one month > one day. 

       On loading the date will be taken from the battery backup clock if 
one is present.
       The rest is simple, just type. All entries are saved when you change
the date of attempt to quit by pressing ESCape. Quit the ­program before
resetting your computer or your entries may be lost.

       The text editor is very simple and only has Word Wrap but if you
would like the code see @{"ProgramCode." Link ProgramCode}

      The program code will only be given to those who pay the shareware
registration fee.
      The code contains the diary and Text Editor along with all of the 
requestors (and the little star routine found on the About screen)

21st September 1991.     Finished Dear Diary V0.1 It was slow and horrible.

Sometime in Winter 1992. Finished Dear Diary V1.0 It Looked a lot better
                         but unfortunatly was bugged to hell.

15th January 1993.       Finished Dear Diary II. I had totally rewritten 
                         all it's code and added a text editor to it. 
                         It is now VERY FAST and as far as I know is Bugless.

      To this date I only know of one bug which I can do nothing about as
it seems to be in AMOS it's self. This is a bug which causes scrambeled
screen modulos on an A1200 when you try to switch to the workbench screen
and back. The only cure to this is to repetedly press LAmiga+A until it is
back to normal. 

      If you discover any bugs please write to me and I will attempt to fix
them.
