National Lottery System - version 2.00 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- D E M O V E R S I O N RELEASE DATE: 15/09/1995 This program is an upgrade to NLS v1.0. I would list all of the upgrades that I've included, but since the program has been completely re-written from scratch, it would take for ever, so I won't bother! INTRODUCTION ------------ National Lottery System is a utility which attempts to predict the results of the National Lottery. By entering the results for each weeks lottery draw, the results, in theory, will become more accurate. IMPORTANT NOTICE ---------------- Although I have made every effort to ensure that the program is as accurate as possible, I cannot and will not guarantee that it will win something every single week. SETTING THE DATE ---------------- If you are entering new data and do not have a built-in clock or clock module connected to your computer, you will need to use the preferences program to set the system date. Double click on its icon from workbench and set the date as required. Press save to store the date in memory. THE MAIN SCREEN --------------- From the main screen, there are many functions available. A brief description of the functions is given below. ADD --- Allows you to add another weeks data to the database. Simply enter the winning numbers, followed by return. You are then asked to check that they are correct. Press Y or N as relevant. Note that National Lottery System 2, assuming that the draw continues to be held on a weekly basis, can hold up to a maximum of 500 years worth of data on a single DSDD disk, and around 1000 years on a DSHD disk. AMEND ----- Amends the current draw data. Works exactly the same way as the ADD function, but the numbers you are amending are inputted automatically. You can then change them if you wish to do so. Works only from List or Ticket format. PRINT ----- Print a specified range of data. Enter the first and last records to be printed, then press Y to continue, or N to cancel. SCROLL GADGETS ( |< << < > >> >| ) --------------------------------------- These allow you to move through the records displayed in the current format. Their meanings are (from left to right):- Go to first record Go back ten records Go back one record Go forward one record Go forward ten records Go to last record GOTO ---- Go to a particular record. Enter the number of the record you want to go to, followed by RETURN. ABOUT ----- Some info about the program. Displayed on startup. QUIT ---- Quit the program. Press Y to confirm, or N to cancel. GENERATE RANDOM NUMBERS ----------------------- This generates 6 numbers at random - what more can I say? GENERATE NUMBERS USING PREVIOUS DATA ------------------------------------ Generates 6 numbers based on previous data. The bias setting is also taken into account. See below. DISABLED IN DEMO VERSION BIAS ---- Sets the bias for calculating numbers. You can choose between the most or least frequently appearing numbers. If you think that the numbers which have come out the most will come out again, set this to "Most Frequently". If you think that the least frequent numbers will appear again, set it to "Least frequently". DISABLED IN DEMO VERSION PREVIOUS APPEARANCES -------------------- Shows a complete listing of 49 numbers, detailing how many times each number has appeared. DISABLED IN DEMO VERSION SYSTEM/DATA FILE INFO --------------------- Shows some information about the system and data file:- Chip and Fast RAM free, File length, Last amendment date. LIST FORMAT ----------- Display previous data, week by week, in list format. TICKET FORMAT ------------- Display previous data, week by week, in ticket format. DISABLED IN DEMO VERSION COPYRIGHT NOTICE ---------------- This demo version of National Lottery System is freeware, and may be copied and distributed, provided that the disk and its contents are not resold for more than £1.25.
