The program is formed by a number of disk-based modules which are run as required. This means that almost every aspect of the program can be upgraded and improved without having to re-write the whole thing. It also means that anyone can write their own add-on modules (e.g. Loaders, Displayers, filters etc.) Providing they stick to certain guidelines. Blackboard was previously released as Public Domain with very few features and was reviewed and rated 88% by C.U.Amiga back in October 1993. Blakboard has now been enormously upgraded and debugged and is only available from F1 Licenceware. It can do everything you would expect from a commercial art package and plenty more besides. Of course Art School is aimed at the younger artist with lots of built in brushes and background pictures to get them started, but there are many features that most people only WISH they had in DPAINT! It`s a mouse driven interactive adventure with great graphics, sound fx and animations. Add to that brain numbing but logical puzzles, 64 colour graphics, around 100 locations and a dangerously high addiction level and you now have an even better idea. Relics is written by Lee Bamber, the author of the highly rated game FORTRESS (see above) and he admits that RELICS far exceeds anything else he has written before.
