THE PENNINE AMIGA CLUB (GB) International User Group

 The Club was formed in 1989 by three friends Who had been interested in all

 kinds of Computers for quite some time.Since then,one of the Founder Members

 has found other interests and has left the Club,but the other two are still

 as keen as ever.

     The original idea was to form a User Group to give help,advice and if

 needed,moral support,and of course,to promote interest in all models of the

 Amiga range.for a few months,things were very slow,in the first 10 months

 We only got 53 Members,and most of these were from the Keighley Area,then

 things really started to happen,We had enquiries from all over the place,

 not just to join but also for help with this problem or that problem so We

 decide that We had better sort out Who was going to do What.

     Over the next 2+ years,the Club has gone from strength to strength,the

 Membership has now reached over 800,and is still growing.We have Members in

 Japan,Bahrain,Malaysia,all over Europe,all over the British Isles,and on to

 Canada and America,We will in fact be opening a branch in Texas in july or

 august this year.The Club is affiliated to B.A.C.C.and is regarded as one

 of the more serious User Groups,and this gives Us some "Clout" with various

 Suppliers Etc.

     Because of the size and the area covered,We can not have meetings of

 Members in one place so it was decided that the Club should be run locally

 by Area Co-ordinators,these A/Cords could be the Area's contact with "Head

 Office" and could also run Their local Pennine Group in any way that the

 Local Members wanted.This system has been working now for over two years,

 and seems to be O.K.but,of course,We are always open to ideas from anyone

 for anything new which would improve the Club or the services We offer.

 My next rendition will be a review on the Amiga Plus (2.04).I have been in

 the process of collecting info.on this machine for quite some time now but

 I would still like to hear from Owners of this machine as to Their views on

 what it can/will or can't/wont do,so why not put pen to paper and let Me

 know what YOU think.I would also like to invite both Commodore and all the

 Software Houses to send Me Their comments regarding this machine.Also,if I

 can get enough support with this review,I intend to do another one on the

 new A600 at a later date with Your help.
