Before  you  could read this " Think
if  we  could  have an Oscar ".  RAW
goes one step further and tell you 

Ê" How to ÌREALIZEË The Oscar Idea"

This  idea  was  first  published in
Zine #11.  So some credit must go to
Chester  /  BRS for thinking of this
smashing   idea.  É (which  was  very
orginal !?!? -ED)È

The  idea  is quite simple ; why not
have  a scene Oscar?  Lets give some
credit  to  the  past year's coders,
graphicians,  musicians  etc.   whom
have  done  such masterpieces on the
computer we all love.

Well,  this  Idea  have do be turned
into  reality  before  itdies,ÌRAW
Ëwill  now  set  up  a  plan.

ÌÊ1.ËÈ  Get a really cool name!!!  Don't
use  OSCARS!!   Use  something  like
'The    Golden   disc'   awards   or
something  like  that.   Try to find
something orginal.

ÌÊ2.ÈË   Get the leading magazines' main
editors  to  cast  some votes on who
they  think  are the best people for
the prize.

ÊÌ3.ÈË   Release  a  'nomination intro'.
Telling  the scene which people have
been  nominated  in  each  category.
There  should  only be 5 nominees in
catagory.  (like the REAL Oscars!)

ÊÌ4.ÈË   Arrange a party, but arrange it
in  Scandinavia!!!   There  will  be
more  people that way.  (And thats a
FACT!!!)

ÊÌ5.ÈË   At  the  party (which should be
held   at  the  end  of  the  year!)
collect  about  2-5%  of  the ticket
money  to  buy  some Oscars, nothing
with   10  carat  gold.   Just  some
ORIGINAL trophies!!

ÊÌ6.ÈË  The catagories should contain:

Ê- Best coder (of the year)
- Best musician (of the year)
- Best graphician (of the year)
- Best demo group (of the year)
- Best demo (of the year)
È
Besides  these main catagories there
should also include a 'Legend Award'
which  would  go to a person who has
influenced  the  scene  in  positive
way!

If  you  want to get really involved
you could add these catagories: 
Ê
- Best newcomer group
- Best newcomer person
È
There  are  lots  of  things to give
awards  for.   (best one-part demos,
best trackmo, etc.)

ÊÌ7.ÈË   The  presentation  should  look
REALLY  professional.   There should
be  a  host (who can talk ENGLISH!),
envelopes  and  the  lot!  Show what
the   different  persons  have  done
(e.g.   music,  demo etc.!) on a big
screen!

The  best  time for this would be on
the first day party.

With that I end my suggestions.  But
think  of  this  :  what if Anarchy-
Silents-Crystal   had  such  awards,
wouldn't  it just have been the BEST
party ever organized (hint, hint!)

So  to  all  you  people  out  there
(especially   Trix,  Paleface  etc.)
when  you  think  of  the next  ÉMEGA
Èparty   (like   x-mas   '91)  please
consider having some scene oscars!!!

It  would work, just think about the
EuroCharts!!!!!!

That  was  the  plan, the only thing
left  is  the organisation.  If some
will  arrange  a party in Denmark at
X-mas  and  want a Oscar Award we in
RAW  will  help  you if you want it!
