TITLE:COMMENTS by THE RIPPER PALETTE:0223 0998 0bb4 0898 BRUSH:03 3 SOME COMMENTS ON SOME STORIES OF ISSUE 1 2 By The Ripper Abnormalia was born, phisically, on the Christmas Eve. It is not my job to judge her, as I am one of the editors, nevertheless I feel I have to write a couple of lines about the texts (I don't like to call them articles) she was filled with. 2- PLUS AND MINUS1: A nice topic, God and human being is always something very interesting for people with at least some brain cells still working. It has a good prose, but everyone know MACNO can write in a great way in any language but Italian 8-)! However I did not enjoy it very much. It has something, I don't know what is exactly, wrong. Maybe it is a little bit expected, especially the final conclusions. 2- THE SECRET OF THE UNIVERSE1: Good prose too. But, as I don't like science related fiction, I did not enjoy completely the piece. I found it boring in some parts. 2- GREEN EYES1: An original piece. Good descriptions catch immediately the attention of the eyes of the reader. Good ideas and great and original end. It is a message against racism? Hard to say, Let Macno speak! 3 (Nope, I didn't think about that, when I wrote it, but it would be nice to 3 say, now, that it was a message against racism... ;-) Critics can put in the 3 authour's mouth words and meanings he never said, right Ripper? ;-> Just look 3 at Dante! :->>> (Macno)) 2- MERLYN'S DREAM1: Nice text! I enjoyed it very much. It was funny but also, in an original way, deep. Good descriptions and a very good idea. It is not easy to mix wisely humour and deep thoughts, it seems Merlyn's dream reached its goal. 2- FROM THE WiNDOW1: Macno's masterpiece! It's simply one of the, or probably THE, best text I have ever read on a computer magazine. Deep topic, absolutely great descriptions, I dare to say "photographic descriptions", for being more realistic than a picture. Definitely THE text I would like to read every issue. Keep on this way man! 2- CARS1: A lot of friends of mine liked it very much. I did not. It's strange but the message Macno wanted to give us did not reach my soul or almost. Not my kind of text. 2- EARTH 21451: I did not find this text as original as I found others. I think I can easily find a lot of "inspirators" in books and movies. "METROPOLIS", "1984", "THE TIME MACHINE" and so on. By the way, worth of reading. I don't think it is needed to say that these are only opinions of mine. I am not a critic nor a writer. Take them as simply suggestions from a common reader. 3(I would like to thank Ripper for having contributed to COMMENTARIUM in the way 3this section was meant to be. An exange of points of view among readers and 3writers (who, we hope, should be the same persons). Just a note, Ripper, why 3have you "reviewed" stories written only by me? There were other authors and 3stories to talk about. (Macno))
