Or the hero of a real movie fighting with evil secret services? He is not the only one who has started to talk about UFO in these terms, sometimes the evidences that these persons have presented have been confuted or explained in "scientifical" terms (this doesn't mean much, actually), sometimes their assertions seems so exaggerated to be impossible, to give them too much importance could be foolish but to ignore them totally could be criminal. To understand the matter better it could be useful to read the book "Majestic" by Whitley Strieber, which the same Cooper mentions (in disquieting terms). It talks about what happened in Roswell (New Mexico, USA) during July 1947. This is probably the most important date in the UFO research history. There are good reasons to say that, despite secret services' attempts to cover and confuse the whole story, an UFO could have fallen down and (maybe) the dead bodies of its crew could have been found (somebody have shown some photos too and somebody else has told that they were a false, read Rocketeer's competent comment to know more about this). Officially, at a very first moment, the fact was confirmed by the same authorities, only few days later it was all denied. Strieber seems quite willing to discover the truth about the matter, his book is presented as a fantasy work based on real facts (Copper considers it, instead, an attempt to check the possible people's reactions to an unbearable truth) and insists quite much on the secret services' methods to discredit reports on UFO sights (one of the strongest is to ridicule them also thanks to the help of sceptic journalists and, if this is not enough, to blackmail or eliminate inconvenient witnesses). Considering this, the show of false photos of the Roswell aliens could be a well thought anti-UFO propaganda move and after all it doesn't prove anything except that those particular photos were false. The book has been published BEFORE Cooper started to talk, as far as I know, this could an important fact, maybe, because names like Sigma, Plato, Blue Team, Redlight etc appear before on the novel, even if they could be widely known before the publishing of the book, as far as I know. In other words somebody could say that Cooper has invented everything on the base of Majestic (the book) or on other fantasy sources. Doubts about the reality of Cooper's declarations can come also from how he has connected everything as if it were the plot of a marvellous spies novel. Drugs trade, Kennedy's murder, USA-USSR cooperation in full cold war seem all connected too well to be true. Strange is also the description of Kennedy's murder which seems so easy to be discovered. Big doubts about the real Kennedy-affair are unavoidable, if he was killed for THAT particular reason and in THAT particular way, it's another matter, maybe. This is nothing, of course, because if we believe ALL the things Cooper say, well, our WHOLE system of life and beliefs should collapse. Just think about that, human base and an alien mothership on the dark side of the moon, man already on Mars, alien technology used by us are already stuff for a SF book, but that's nothing compared to the idea of aliens with four bases in USA (and in other countries? I wonder why everything seems always to happen in USA...), alien spaceships flying merrily around the globe, in the hands of alien or even human crew, alien who abduct common persons to analyze and dissect them and things like that. That, finally, is still NOTHING if compared to the idea that the whole history of humanity is controlled by aliens, that one man out of forty has been "implanted", that religions are their inventions and that BASQUE and SIRIAN people are the culminating point of aliens' interaction with Homo Sapiens (what does he mean with that? That my basque friend Pablo is the result of aliens' experiments on evolution?). I simply CAN'T believe that. It would destroy everything, the essence of some of our deeper convictions. I am not religious, but that's still too much to be accepted. I don't say that this is surely false (well...), I just say that I couldn't bear it. My life is also my thoughts, and some of my thoughts, some of the thoughts of the whole humanity, the most basal ones, can't be deleted in a second. They have been created in milleniums. Nevertheless, even if I don't believe in what Cooper says, I can stop myself on some other things, which could actually be true and that actually would radically change some of my basic thoughts, even if in a far less shocking way. The existence of another intelligent form, is still something not publicly known. To be sure of it, it would change in a big way our view about the world and ourselves. Our anthropocentric system of thought can vacillate in front of the certainty of the existence of "others". That's not something that scares me much, what instead thrills me is the idea of real aliens flying undisturbed on our skies. If their intentions weren't just to "look around" (or to abduct people here and there) there would not be many reasons why they shouldn't try to communicate with us and with the leaders of our planet. What scares me is that this could be already happened but we still don't know anything about it! That would be CRIMINAL! The existence of extraterrestrial life is something too important to be concealed. I haven't any faith in USA's (or anyone else) way of treating things considered "top secret". The same idea of secret services is something basically anti-democratic. The thought that the whole western political system of democracy has just the face is a certainty for me, for this reason I can't a priori disbelieve declarations like the Cooper's one (with some limits). Let's try to imagine some possible scenarios according to how we trust in Cooper. 2Scenario 1.1 It's all false. UFO are just the inventions of some mythomaniacs. If extraterrestrial life exists, it hasn't reached us. All the UFO sights up to now have a "scientific" and rational explanation. Comment: This could be exactly what MAJI wants us to believe, out opinion about that would have been deeply influenced by newspapers and books written for this precise task. For our minds it's something comfortable and bearable. 2Scenario 2.1 UFO exist. We don't know anything about them, they could even be human coming from our future, we haven't had any real, direct connection with them, if not for singular cases. Comment: It could be something acceptable for our minds, but still disquieting. 2Scenario 3.1 It's full of UFO out there and they abduct human beings (sometimes even entire villages). They make experiments on them and they could even bring them back on the Earth. At Roswell were found alien bodies and bodies of surgically modified human embryos, together with an alien spacecraft built with totally unknown materials. Majic 12 is controlling, studying and covering the matter in total secrecy. Comment: It's the situation more or less imagined in "Majestic", it sees the whole humanity like a bunch of sheep whose opinion on the matter is controlled by Majic. It's something unbearable and discouraging. 2Scenario 4.1 Milton William Cooper is saying exactly the truth. It's something totally shocking and unsustainable. It would destroy our concept of history, religion and humanity, it could completely annihilate our personalities. Am I exaggerating? Try to figure out what are the consequences of a scenario like this. Humanity would be morally and physically SLAVE of the aliens, 1 person out of 40 is totally in their control, for who believes in a religion it would be a total annihilation. Under some points of view the aliens would be our GODS. This would happen in theory, actually, the real consequences could be NONE (if things keep on like this, in total secret) or far less shocking. The power of ideas based on faith is that they resist to every kind of evidence, we have a sort of faith in many things, not only in religion, our opinions about many things aren't based on logical thought, that's why even a sort of discovery of the Cooper's truth could not have the devastating impact that it should logically have. All in all, whatever I may think (I'm not sure of anything), whatever may be the truth, there is something mysterious and charming in the UFO matter and I have the impression that somebody on Earth knows about them much more than the rest of humanity. It has been in a situation like this, reading and looking for books and informations about this topic, that I felt, once again, like a stupid sheep in a bunch of sheep, totally unaware of what's happening around.
