[SC1S][SK2S][SF5S] COPY PARTY IN BYDGOSZCZ. [SC0S][SK1S][SF3S] At the 12th-13th of November in the great an wonderful city there was the biggest and the greatest Copy Party in the history of Polish Amiga Scene! [SF0S] The sentence above is the biggest lie, which I can say now. Why? Because I'm just very nervous and I get furious because of great organization of this party! Telling the truth I write this first two paragraphs second time because I was late with saving this text and "great organizers" foresee this situation and turn off the electricity (not the first time - this situation takes place average at every 20 min...)... Is there energetic crisis in Bydgoszcz? And maybe group TILT is afraid of increase of activity before compos? Let's start from the begining... I'm not going to describe the way to Bydgoszcz and I only mention, that because of quality of PKP we came to Bydgoszcz at such strange hour, it means about 4 a.m. We didn't find any point how to get to party so it takes long time untill we came to party place. Fortunately we came there safe and full of apprehensions we stood in front of party place. At this moment we were first and last time very surprised. The door was open!. Well, we didn't enjoyed it long because the prise increased to 120 thousand (in invitations was 90 thousand). But we live only once, so we bought, came in (in fact we wanted to come in but immediately on our way standed stupid bear with round face). After hearing some stupid jokes we went to the so called ASSEMBLY HALL. This hall, as we saw, was usual only little bigger than school class. We don't mind about great space, which organizers gave to us, we laid out hardware and started to work. Unfortunately our work was sopping all the time by broking the electricity. Chudi and Bukka were so self-contnted, that they turned off electricity in whole school and simulated technical problems. After hard fights drawback was removed and we sat in front of computers again. Meanwhile the organizers served their guests the bigo parts of noise (in their opinion there was a "music"), which complicated all trials of survival. Some people used dump show and the others, but organizers had a good idea for making their mistakes unknown and showed report from previous party Intel Outside I. As you know there was recorded show of "surprise" on that party. To make our life more interesting organizers stopped show in the best momment (I mean before streap-tease). There was big number of fucks, hisses and profanities for thme from the public. But working plan was good and some people were very nervous. Then there was time for music compo. We all took places and waited for the results of selection. 14 modules from 71 passed the selection. Unfortunately the way of making this selection and the members of board are unknown. Acoustics of the room wasn't so bad, but it wasn't great. But the level of presented modules killed all listeners. Only some modules were good to listen. The next was intro compo. The new was introduction of 64k intros. It made first bigger misunderstandings. The next misunderstanding was hardware on which organizers ran intros. They had said that it'll be A1200 + 4MB fast memory. Unfortunately some groups were very surprised when they heard about it. I think about group Obsession, which hadn't had this hardware and just before compo they had known, that their didn't work on Amiga with fast memory. Unfortunately there wasn't much time left, so they said to guys from Tilt, that they want their production ran on "empty" A1200. But the organizers didn't want to know about it and they only said, if their intro don't work with fast memory so their code is LAME, and this LAME code should be changed. It's a little overstepping the bounds, isn't it? ...ooo... Just at this momment there wasn't current again. But the text was just saved so I could continue it. Fortunately after long talks the organizers decided to change hardware when the intros with other hardware requirement were ran. But generally the level of productions was average. They weren't bat, but there weren't super. After intro compo there was a time for graphic compo. Big screen wasn't so bad, so we could see pictures very well. But in fact there was a little different. The guy, who showed the pictures often made mistakes and he showed one picture two times and except this no one wanted to read the number of each picture. So there was little mess and at least I often didn't know, which picture was showed and what was its number. And the quality of pictures? Terrible. I liked only about 5 pictures and the best were done by Yoga and Lazur. The rest was total sucks. The similar quality was on ray compo, but this time I didn't like any raytracking. Anyone. And it wasn't only my opinion. At last came this, what we all waited for, I mean demo compo. Generally there were showed 14 demos and in my opinion they was on different but high level. I liked most demos of groups Freezers and Damage. But group Damage overdid and their demo works only with A1200 + 4mb fast + HD. But production of Freezers works with standard A1200 and... it looks fantastic. Unfortunately when I write this text, I don't know the results of party (and I've seen demos only once on the Big screen), so I can't write anything about it. I leave the reviews of demos to the other persons, and I'll write about organization of this party. And what was the organization? There wasn't any. Yes, it's true. There wasn't any organization! At the beginning they've tried to keep up appearances and although they can't do this, they've tried to do something. But at the end of the party (In fact this wasn't the end of party but after the end of compos(!)) took their things and... went away! Just went away! But they were in school because there were lacks of currant every time. And that's how we stay in "hall" alone, only with computers without power.
