³¼SWEDISH SCENEREPORT¼³ ² Hoyla!! Here's a swedish scenereport just to make all interested happy. It is happening alot of things in the swe- dish Amiga scene right now, the modem- scene is growing very fast and ELITE boards pop up EVERYWHERE. Many new groups are also formed, many just to day or join together with eachother but 1% will atleast survive and someday maybe this '1%' will be the new PHENO- MENA..... IMPORTANT NOTE!!!: When I write 're- leases' I talk about the demoscene as it is the one I am in to myself, so sorry to all cracker groups that I cant make a nice story about you... Ok.. Lets go with the usual 'group for group' presentation, and I as usually I must say that I am very sorry that I will and HAVE forgotten some names, but dont blame me, just make your own re- port instead, and then make it better than this one!!! REMEMBER THAT THE MAINREASON FOR THIS REPORT IS THAT YOU WILL GET TO KNOW THE MOST OF THE GROUPS IN SWEDEN, SO DONT TAKE THE COMMENTS OF THE GROUPS TOO SERIOUS! Off We Go... ¹ ³PHENOMENA....¹ I always start with this name cause it IS the name that I always gets to think of first when somebody mentiones the Demo Scene in Sweden... PHA have re- leased all kinds of productions, intros, one-part demos, trackdemos, megademo, utillities, musicdisks... They have ALOT of skillfull members and just to mention some of them, Azatoth, Celebrandil, Mantronix&Tip, Terminator, Maze etc. I hope that this flight never ends... (Sorry AFL!!) ³ACME....¹ No, I haven't started to take them I alphabetical order, I just write about the first name I get to think of. ACME is mostly famous for the in my opinion best GFX team in the world, Airbrush & Mithrandir!!! Have released a megademo and the 2nd is on the way, also a very, very nice slideshow with great pics from their GFX'ers.. ³NOXIOUS....¹ One of the most promising groups around just now, with big power in the modem scene with 3-4 boards here in Sweden and lots of cool modemtraders around. Also some good 'demomakers' and they have released some smaller demos and intros with almost always vectors as the maintheme (Am I right???)... They have recently released two games and a new version of Protracker. ³AMAZE....¹ The WHQ of the 'new' AMAZE is in Swe- den... Well, what to say??? Have lots to prove but they are on the right way, no doubt they have had to hear phrases like 'There will never be as good as old AMAZE' etc. In my opinion the group is maybe growing to quickly and I really do wonder: Is there some body who can tell me the complete mem- berlist from day to day??? Although they have good modem and mailtraders around (Hi Zonic).. Also lots of boards here in Sweden. The latest rumour I heard (14Apr) was that they had only two members left in Sweden, don't know if it is correct yet.. ³AURORA....¹ One of the real veteran crews in the scene, have released many productions through out time, to mention some: Tom- tespelet (yeah!), Dreamscape, A mega- demo (or two??).. Two cool musicians in Fingal O and Dreamweaver, famous mo- demtrader in Zcandaler who also is in charge for the official Swedish BBS list.... ³D-MOB....¹ One of my first favourites in the biz niz when I arrived two years ago, with their onedisk musicdisks with great pieces of music on. They are still very active and releases BBS Intros and for a short time ago also a nice trackdemo. Nice GFX'er in Zak and a nice musician in Turbobrain. Also a giant in the modemscene over the whole world... ³FAIRLIGHT....¹ A real cracking and training legend BOTH on the C64 and on the Amiga. I dont know how active they are at the moment but they surely are very, very strong now too.... ³DUAL CREW....¹ Besides PHA the typical swedish group, formed in Sweden and they still are strongest here in Sweden, now mostly in the modemtrading business but some demo releases appear when we are not ex- pecting it. One of Europes biggest BBS's in 'Gurus Dream' with 4 nodes and over ONE GIGABYTE of harddrive memory. SysOp is named 'Dirtybush'. LATEST news is that Gurus Dream have been busted!!! Don't know if it's down forever or not. ³CYTAX....¹ Smaller swedish division that have re- leased some intros and they are in char ge of atleast one BBS.. As their main swapper left them to join NOXIOUS I don't know if they still are alive... But now I know they are!!!! (Iam wri- ting this scene report very slowly) ³REBELS....¹ A nice swedish division with lots of skillfull members, have made both demos and a couple of BBS Intros, also making a nice demopack called: 'Sweetest Per- fection'.. Rebels EHQ 'The Rebellion' is in Sweden.. ³ADDONIC....¹ Also a Swedish division mostly with traders, and a board named 'Hysteria', and as Spooky of The Gang joined with his board GangBang Addonic now have two boards in Sweden. ³SCOOPEX....¹ This one is always hard when writing a swedish scenereport because I know there are members in Sweden and they have got boards in Sweden but that's it, I dont know if the demomakers still are active or not!!? ³MAJIC 12....¹ Swedish division formed out of ex. NOXIOUS members not long ago, have opened a swedish board called 'Mega blast' but still no releases as far as I know.... Yep, now they have released a nice BBS Intro... ³AGILE....¹ Another crack and trainer group which have been active for quite some time by now, but I think it is getting rougher now since their best 'team' Conqueror and Zeke have ended their activity.... ³CRYSTAL....¹ One of the 'Mail HQ's' is here in Swe- den, but then there aren't much more that I know, of course they are crack- ing and trading like the rest of the Crystal team... ³SILENTS....¹ I just HAVE to mention them!!! If I should be honest I wouldnt have knew they existed if they hadn't released that great game Pinball Dreams!!! I am proud of being a Swede when I play this game!! They have also announced a trackmo at the E.C.E.S but it was put on the shell or...????? ³STRANGE....¹ The producers of Nordic Scenereport isn't an old group at all, was formed out of some smaller groups for a not too long time ago. Not many members but why should you have many members?? ³SHINING....¹ One of the best trainer makers in Europe, lots of releases in that sub- ject.. AWESOME graphician in Iridon and ofcourse a great coder in Zeus... Now they have received more skillfull members from ex.Anarchy Sweden!!! ³SHINING 8....¹ Growing division in Sweden, released a BBS Intro for their Swedish head quarter.. Have taken over some boards here in Sweden, for instance New Wave's 'Interchange'. ³ENIGMA....¹ A pure swedish groups with no more then 15 members, but the members are very talented guys that I think will make a great success in the future... Now they have started to become a little more active! ³DESIGN....¹ Now a swedish division out of ex.Am- nesia members, don't know much about them but they released a demo at the Ce-Bit (!?) that was under the name of Amnesia, but now they are Design Swe- den. ³HORIZON....¹ Talented guys who released a nice but unfortunately too short demo at THE PARTY'91, although they have a lot of skills in the group! ³EQUINOX....¹ They announced that they was about to start the new Eurochart but as they didn't have the permission from Crusa- ders and other groups also was thinking of it, they cancelled the project, in stead they are going to release 'Euro- pean Top-20'. ² Thanks for your time dear reader and keep on supporting this nice diskmag!!!
