³German scene report ²------------------- ¹ Well, many reports about Germany were written already and most of the facts you are going to read in some seconds are not so fab like a report about countries like Malaysia, GUS or or or I just did it for fun! Here we go. As you all know the Amiga scene started here for its crusade. The very first cracking teams were built here and also the first 'mindblasting' intros were released under the labels of german groups. Great groups from the past were for example 'Mad Monks' (later on Black Monks), Doctor Mabuse Orgasm Crackings (D.O.C.), High Quality Crackers (H.Q.C.), Hotline, Beasty Boys, Antithrax (Do you remember their Megademoes ? I still love them !!!!), Bamiga Sector One and The Kent Team (perhaps the best coop ever), Movers, The Champs (who are voted from some famous guys as best group ever!) Today Germany has lost much of the power, it had got in the past, but it is still one of the leading places on globe due the masses of freaks. But mainly in cracks and swapping because Scandinavia is, as you might have heard (...), the absolutly best right now. Today, or in the last months some groups wanted to show the world again how German coders are skilled and the last great try did 'Sanity'. They released many packs, did great demoes - remember 'Elysium'! and had got a great image. But it died because of hard internal trouble. Meanwhile they are back, but if they have got still that power and moral than before their break. We will see and hope (Good luck !). Who's best here... Well, I think this is a question with no difficult answer. The best crew on board here are surely the guys of 'Red Sector' - or today so called 'TRSI' because of their cooperation with 'Tristar' (also a very old group!). Most famous guys are the creators of the Megademo (Delta etc.) and their great swappers. They have got several boards around the globe and I think they will walk this trip on for the next years as being the leaders in Germany. Also a very old and still living crew is 'Alpha Flight' and I really wonder if somebody is able to stop their flight. In the past many groups looked up to them, but today it is not much more than just helding the name. Their 'Cracker Journal' is the oldest mag on Amiga but it is not that great magazine than in the past. But they did good jobs for the whole scene and even they are not releasing anything since some years (except CJ) I think they are deserving real standing orvation. Next group is 'Fairlight'. This group is perhaps the most known group ever lived. They consist to the best in Amiga scene AND are also the best on sixty-four. It's a very old group and I think they are living now for 6 (!) years. Today they own some boards and the most famous here in Germany is the 'Fuckshop'. Hope they will never stop their activities. But now after some words to the past and some notes about still living groups I am going to continue with a list where all groups are standing who are in my brain. At this place a megahandshake to 'NOX of TECH DESIGN' for helping me collecting and giving some facts about several groups ! Now the list.... ³The Special Brothers (TSB)¹²:¹ At the moment they are very strong. Divisions in several countries and many cool things. Each division is great enough for an own group and so are the releases - fucking great stuff they produce !!!!!!!!! ³Coma¹²:¹ They are famous for the pretty nice 'McDisk'. I like it also and also their cool demoes, intros etc. are not bad either. They kicked all illegal guys because they wanted to become just legal. Cool group, indeed !!!!!!!!!!!! ³Sanity¹²:¹ The guys are very cool (Hy Mr.Pet !) and I hope that they are getting as good as they were before their stop. Come back fellows ! ³Skid Row¹²:¹ I think words are not neccessary - the number one in cracking ! Per- haps they will join also the demo scene in future (first step was done some weeks ago). ³Classic¹²:¹ Hu........I like the name. And also the group even I don't play many. Also a very good cracking force and as they wrote in some advertisments they want to change their image - friendship rules ! ³United Forces¹²:¹ A group which will become surly a legend. Great stuff in the past but today ? I just know that some German guys of 'UFO' are working for 'Cachet'. What about a comeback ? ³Paradise¹²:¹ A not so old crew but they are good. Their first Megademo wasn't bad and some effects were cool ! Also many short intros and other things were released under the Paradise label. They are growing very much and also some boards are running now for them. Keep this up guys ! ³Tech Design¹²:¹ Well, I like them. There releases are good and okay. If they will walk on this way they are going to be one of the leaders here in Germany. They have got great composers which products are sounding mindblasting ! (note: Nox forced me to write this......) ³Agnostic Front¹²:¹ Opps....that's my crew. I think everybody should make an own opinion about us. Short infos: around 25 members in Germany and Norway. Some intros, today also a slideshow was fixed, some trainers, 2 boards are running at the moment. A.F. was re-founded in July 91. Guys are coming from several different groups (Venom, Magnetic Fields, Abakus, Grace and some I dont know) Future plans: Do we have got a future....hehehe. No, just kidding. Coming up a Megademo and I hope that our party will be held soon !!! ³The Electric Touch (TET)¹²:¹ Hm, I think they are dead because most members left them. They were o.k., but 'MAVE' (leader......) is really asskicking !!! Hello to 'Ernie' ! ³Spherical Design¹²:¹ just kidding... ³The Dark Demon (TDD)¹²:¹ An unknown group. Most of you would call them lamers but they are really cool persons. They've released some packsseries. ³Hysteric¹²:¹ Everytime I am going to think about those guys I must laugh. There releases a god damn shit but they are so cool. I met them at the 'Exort and Elicma' party and I must say that they are just great ! ³Panic¹²:¹ Yo allies ! Best friends of us even I do not know anyone of them. Our leaders are heading often to them. Not many releases, I think just a swapper group who are releasing some packseries. ³T.D.C. Design¹²:¹ Also a not so known group. I think there are just 3 members and the most active guy is 'Mogli' (Hy Mark and Steffi !!!!) with doing codinx and a bit graphix. ³Eremation¹²:¹ I know just one pack and it was really not good. One of those many groups here - small and with the dream to reach the top ! ³Trygon¹²:¹ Hm, they released a funny demo at the Ami - Expo. I know just the GFX guy of them and nearly no more facts about them. Also not very famous. ³Razor 1911¹²:¹ Well, I know just '16 Beat' as a german member. All in all they are consisting to the top in Europe. ³Spreadpoint¹²:¹ Old and fantastic ! Many boards but as usual mainly just a group who reached the top with business. In the past many cracks like most famous german groups. And today ? I think they are a living legend. ³Byte Busters¹²:¹ Old crew but they lost much power. 'Rebel MC' who joined some weeks ago from TDD is making the 'Beach Packs' series and I like them. But nothing more from them. ³Precise¹²:¹ A growing group which is getting better and better. Keep it up !! ³Trackers¹²:¹ In the past this crew was big and powerful but today their is not much left of it. They had got impressive releases and I liked them very much. Romuors are telling that this group is going to die soon - too sad ! ³Treacl¹²:¹ Well, sorry guys I really do not know any facts of you. So no comment about your skill (try to contact me - I wanna know more from you !) ³Armageddon¹²:¹ Just one of those groups who think they are able to reach the top. They've released some lame intros and a not bad 'Parallax Demo'. By the way, if someone of you are reading this here....where do you got your name from ??? ³Cytax¹²:¹ Meanwhile worldfamous for their 'ICE' and their good releases I think it's another powerful group. Since now cool products and I hope that this will going on in future ! ³Contrast¹²:¹ A new group. No releases I think since yet and so...one like many. Just a swapping group. ³Unlimited¹²:¹ I saw a pack from them and it was like I was back in 1986. No more comments - LAME ! ³Euro Front¹²:¹ Well, look at 'Treacl'. Same 2 u ! ³Light Speed Destruction (LSD)¹²:¹ The German division isn't so old. The guys from England own a mag called 'Grapevine' and it includes great stuff to read. Try to catch an issue (but after you've read 'TOP SECRET'...) ³Pirates¹²:¹ Hm, well....or is your name 'Kreators' ? I really don't know but any- way, a cool and fast group. Many boards and not so much releases. All in all I think they are doing a good job. Hy from the me (Acropole) to 'EAZY E' - RAP beats everything ! ³Argon¹²:¹ Well, this group is also not so wellknown in scene and I think they are doing also just swapping. ³XenoX¹²:¹ The guys are very nice but they are doing mostly pack series. A legal swapping team.....COOL ! ³Defcon One¹²:¹ They have released several intros and are quite known in Germany. This group made with 'Sanity' (before it died) a meeting and have divisions in some other countries. ³Hardline¹²:¹ They are wellknown for the masses of packs they are doing. Most fa- mous guy is 'Slicer'. Also some intros were released under the Hardline label. Perhaps this crew is the easiest way to get in scene, because I've heard that they are taking nearly everyone ! ³Action¹²:¹ Fine group. Released several short demoes (let's call them intros....) and are wellknown in scene. Meanwhile it's very silently - still alive ? ³Silents¹²:¹ Wow! Fantastic group. Released great demoes and have got very skilled coders, gfx 'n' sfx guys. Very famous crew ! ³Legend¹²:¹ The best trainermakers in world. Also several cracks and a very active team. The C=64 division is also the best in trainermaking ! Keep it up !!! ³Supplex¹²:¹ There comeback was successful. 'Logo 7' is most famous for his cool trainers. Meanwhile I haven't heard anything lately....strange. ³Defjam¹²:¹ Well, do they still living ? If yes then they are the greatest best. They ruled the cracking scene for many years. In the past some cooperations. Famoust one²:¹ Defjam - CCS - Accumulators. A fab team. ³Vision Factory¹²:¹ I've heard they are back. In the past the leading crackers in wild west Germany. Today ? Haven't seen anything from them till yet - we well see ! ³Paranoid¹²:¹ This crew is now living for some years and there releases are get- ting better and better. A more than average crew which is in my opinion quite cool - stay on this trip ! ³Amaze¹²:¹ In the past it was very powerful, but today it isn't much more than just average. All in all quite wellknown in scene. ³Frantic Ger.¹²:¹ Their releases are average and they are quite famous due the fact that there is also a group called 'Frantic' who are living in Finland. There is a small war between them. ³Animators¹²:¹ In the past not bad, but today they are just the name. I've heard that they've got some cool boards. ³Unicorn¹²:¹ A very very old group. Made the first great demomaker, or better a so called typewriter. Today they are famous for there utility - cracks. But I haven't heard anything lately - preparing for stopping all activities ??? ³Mexx¹²:¹ A not so old group. Doing mostly packseries and having great stickers !! Try to catch one or two, because there are 2 different formats of them. ³Toxic Track¹²:¹ Hehe, I've met some guys of them at a party and I thought that they were just guys who think that they are good. Meanwhile I know it - they ARE good. Great porno slideshows with fucking great sounds ! I'm looking for- ward to Volume 3 (lechz...)!!! ³Nuance¹²:¹ A brandnew group and they have released some average stuff till today. Sorry no more infos about them.... ³D-Tect¹²:¹ Oh man, nearly forgotten.......yep, this crew is doing a fantastic job with 'Hack Mag'. 'Spider' of this crew did the title gfx for 'Action Cart- ridge III'. In my opinion one of the best groups around. ³Possessed¹²:¹ An old group who is very powerful, but not so known in scene like other groups. Why ? I don't know - their graphix are one of the best here ! ³X-trade¹²:¹ As the name is telling...trade, trade, trade, trade....... ³Vanish¹²:¹ A great group in my opinion. They are doing some fab compilations and due I like packs very much I just love them. Keep this way up !!! ³Amiga Industries²:¹ Well, I've seen some things but I can't nearly say anything, because I've got nearly no facts about them. Lately they are in coop with the ultimate 'Spreadpointlers'. ³Stardust¹²:¹ swap till your head is exploding....newcomers again in where for the first time ever the name is telling where the way is going - into the DUSTbin. ³Circle¹²:¹ New and I haven't got much infos about them. 'Nox' says they are doing just swapping......haven't we read this somewhere before ? ³Devpackers¹²:¹ How low can we go....again newcomers. And the cool name....WOW ! Yo fellows, this should do it now. Of course there are many many more groups here in Germany but they are so unknown that I have not included them to this list or even were just forgotten. I wanna say many lovings to 'NOX of TECH' for supporting me with some groups I've never heard before but are, in opinion from Nox, worth to be list up here - also for some notes about several crews (THANX !!). I know that some (most ?) of our views aren't those you are expec- ting but this is just normal - we are all humans......aren't we ? Last note: I know that some groups got just a division here but I (at last Nox and I) decided to include them also even they aren't real Ger- mans. Think about the crowd of groups....
