It still features painted background, clip-arts, lots of colors and all the usual stuff. The main picture and the gallery looks very nice this time (as usual...). A new section appeared in this issue, the Jukebox featuring nice (mainly chip) music. 2CONTENT:1 Stolen Data did it again. 3It features 120 articles, and it wasn't delayed at all, due to the big support!1 This is why people should support every mag. Perhaps the scene topics are not covered enough, but more scene stuff appeared since the previous issues, and the non scene topics are very interesting and funny. 2ALL IN ALL:1 The growing SD team presented the best issue of Stolen Data (at least in my opininon). If you keep supporting it will be even more interesting, actual, funny, and that is why mags exist - to 3ENTERTAIN. 3Code: 8 points 2 Outlook: 8 points 3 Content: 9 points 2 Overall: 9 points1 ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ 3R.A.W. issue 4½ by PMC 2CODE & OUTLOOK:1 As the name states, this is 3not a 'real' issue,1 just a special party edition. So the outlook os different, too. A picture showing Kevin shouting opens the show. It was drawn by Fairfax of Andromeda. Then then a nice RAW logo appears, and some scanned pictures below. 2CONTENT:1 You can watch 14 piccies, or read a party report by Lord Helmet. This report is not a really good one. It only 2states what you could already guess; there are lots of people showing up, the party is cool, etc. 2ALL IN ALL:1 I think it was the first mistake from RAW. It is far worse than it should have been. Everyone has expectations from RAW. Perhaps they released it just to publish the fab graphics. I don't give marks as I have nothing to compare it to. @IPgotchiR 3Abnormalia issue 1 by various people 2CODE & OUTLOOK:1 The mag starts with an Abnormalia logo, looks very nice to me. The code is very simple. Nice colors, but no option for clip-arts on the vertically scrolling screens. You can choose between 2 musics, and print the article. Simple but nice. I didn't like that when you choose an article and then you skip back to the content page, it rolls back to the beginning. The menu panel is not so well drawn. 2CONTENT:1 This Italian mag has a very different content. It is full of stories like Scene Lyrics, and has some funny articles about the scene. I really liked the 3humour of the mag, and that is what it makes a good mag. 1The creators (espec. 3Macno1) really worked a lot on the 81 aricles, and that is shocking for a first issue. 2ALL IN ALL:1 Abnormalia is different kind of a mag, but it's not worse, but even 3more entertaining1 than some 'serious' scene mags. 3Code: 6 points 2 Design: 5 points 3 Content: 8 points 2 Overall: 7.5 points 1 @IPsleagleC 3Upstream issue 1 by Frogs 2CODE & OUTLOOK:1 A simple intro opens up this new mag. The mag's bottom panel is very different from all other mags, actually, there is a jungle painted on it. 3It looks great!1 The code is simple, the only disadvantage is the 3non-existing page counter1. But the little info panel is a cool idea! When you press the right button on an article's name, a little info box appears, telling you what is the article about. The colors are quite well choosen, it is easy to read. The design is not bad, either. The articles are well cut. 2CONTENT:1 Altough it is Upstream's premiere issue, the quality and amount of the articles is good. They already found some 3supporters1. Most of the articles are quite interesting, but nothing that would shock anybody. Anyway, it is rather good! 2ALL IN ALL:1 The scene is richer with 3a good magazine1, and it is healthy for the competition. I can only wish good luck to the Upstream staff! 3 Code: 7.5 points 2 Design: 8.5 points 3Content: 7 points 2Overall: 7.5 points 1 @IPamigaC 3Joyride issue 1 by Voice 2CODE & OUTLOOK:1 Again a new mag. The intro before it happened to be rather ugly, and so is the mag. The code is not disturbing, but 3not so friendly1, either. I didn't like the vertically scrolling index page, but it's a matter of taste I think. The bottom panel is 3quite ugly1, but not in a way as in SH's first issue, as it wanted to be a marvel style thing, but I prefer Top Secret's marvel panel then. 2CONTENT:1 Joyride has a 3very nice content1, with lots of nice scene articles, and that is what most of us prefer to 'real life' articles. I discovered some interesting interviews. They didn't include news, as they want to be different from other mags. I think it was a bad move, because 3difference worth nothing if you only leave out things athers have. It would be too easy then...1 2ALL IN ALL:1 If they do something about the code & design, it will be a very good mag, among the leaders. But 3the content is already among them...1 3Code: 6.5 points 2Design: 5 points 3Content: 8.5 points 2Overall: 7.5 points 1 @IPgotchuC 3Magbox issue 4 by Balance 2CODE & OUTLOOK:1 Magbox (still a one file mag) opens up with a strange picture by 3Connor1 (who else?). It was drawn like if it was an oil painting or so (??!?). Not ugly at all! The mag has a new green panel, a bit nicer than in the previous issue. Although the code can handle clip-arts, they rarely used them. Other features are: loads of fonts and colors, search function. The colors are quite 3harsh. 1The white main color is irritating after some minutes. The code is rather user friendly and mouse centered. 2CONTENT:1 I still can't understand why Magbox is a file mag? Perhaps to get a better spread on packs? Who knows? Anyway, Balance offers a lot of 3great and entertaining articles1. For example the Party '92 rubric was perhaps 3the best party cover, ever! 1The humour & entertainment section is very funny, in my opinion. The scene articles could have been better. 2ALL IN ALL:1 Magbox is a very nice mag. They don't want to prove that they are the world's numero uno, but they present an entertaining scene mag. The Magbox staff surely created an 3image1 to their maggy, so it is always worth waiting for the next issue. 3 Code: 7 points 2Design: 7 points 3Content: 8.5 points 2Overall: 8 points1
