IMPORTANT: This article reflects my personal opinion and if I should
           offense someone with it is only me to blame but no other
           people in any of the mentioned groups.


It  all  began  in days which are already forgotten by most of the freaks in the
whole  wide  world  but still wellknown in Austria.  The time where the scene in
this  country  could still be considered as cool.  Then came the time where more
and  more  people got grown up, met some girls, started to booze and recognising
that  life  is more funny without computer.  Perhaps this is true but life is at
least  not  LESS funny WITH the Amiga.  Groups like SAVAGE (Freedom Crack #1-3),
SUBWAY  (cracks  &  trainers)  and  also  ENERGY  lost their attractivity in the
international scene.

This  is  when  I entered the scene by joining the unknown group NIGHTMARE which
has  nothing  to  do with any other groups with similar names.  After a while we
started  a  diskmag and joined AMAZE where we built the Austrian division but we
also  got  fed  up  by the lame organisation and so I joined the promising group
GRACE.

Sadly, there was always a lack of coders in Austria and the few coders here were
split  into  many  groups  and so no one was able to do cool prods.  Since ZF (I
will  use ZF instead of ZINKFLOID cause of lazyness) lives close to me I decided
to  stay  in  the  same  group  as  he did and was really sad when he left GRACE
because ZF had many friends in GRACE which he wanted to join ENERGY.

It  hurt  me  to  see the Kingdom of Grace fall down.  After a short stay in the
group  FANTASY I joined ENERGY and again the same thing happened:  ZF leaves the
group and ENERGY will sooner or later die.(ed.- or not..)

I  am not the guy who likes group-jumping but now I'm in OHM built up by the ex-
ENERGY  members TRION, JENNY and me.  DERREL joined from ex-GRACE as a coder.(He
made the code from SUICID I - III !!)

If  it's  true what TRION says we will look out for let's say 1 more coder and 1
more musician and then we will no longer expand our group.
  
And growing large is exactly the syndrome which made GRACE and ENERGY die namely
if  guys  like  ZF  come and want everybody to join in.  That's one of his major
failures.

Sadly  ENERGY  splitted  up  just  when  we  were  about  to  gain international
reputation again!!

SUICID  was  14th  (I  think) in the Eurocharts (I guess) and ENERGY was Nr.7 in
other charts.  It hurts again seeing this great group die and all the members go
away  to other groups like TRSI where they will be only a small unknown division
which  nobody  will pay attention at because there are far more elite members in
such  old groups.  Joining an elite group doesn't make you elite!!!  (ed.- thank
you for the advice!!)

Another  sad  fact  is that all Austrians seem to have an unconventional idea of
design (hi TRION!).  There were some prods from ENERGY which made you puke.

I  hope  that  in OHM things will change and that there will be more cooperation
between the members.  In NRG and GRC the gfx and sfx were sent to the coders and
put together there - no matter how bad the coder's taste was!
  
In  OHM  there  will  be  hopefully more internal meetings where we produce real
CLASS  and not MASS like we did in a group that called itself 'your light in the
night' in some slogans.

Finally  I  want to say that I will quit scene forever if OHM should prove to be
the  same  shit  as  in  GRC and NRG because I'm really fed up with the Austrian
scene.  And at the very end of this crap I want to send a message to the guys in
MANITOU:   Great work, seems there's a lot of co-op in Manitou.  Perhaps because
you live so close together...

It  is  not  so easy to build up a new group when you have so less members!  But
anyway I will help your group as far as I can and to give you a good support!)
