    You upgrade your system and what happens?  The idiots who wrote your
  favourite program didn't follow the guidelines and it no longer works.
  This is where DEGRADER comes in, it will try to "degrade" your system so
  that the old brain-dead program will work on your machine.  You can also
  just use it to boot off floppy drives other than DF0: or force your
  machine to PAL or NTSC.


    When you run the program you are presented with various option buttons
  which you can toggle on(down & highlighted)/off:-


NOFASTMEMORY    	- So programs can't allocate fast memory.

NOCACHE & NOBURST       - For people with 68020/68030 turns these modes off.

PRIVILEGE ERRORS	- Intercepts instructions (move.w SR,d?) that are
			  privileged on processors above 68000.

512K CHIP ONLY  	- For programs which fail with more than 512k chip.

1Meg CHIP ONLY  	- For programs which fail with more than 1 meg chip.

FORCE PAL       	- Kickstart 1.2/1.3 way to force machine to PAL.

FORCE NTSC      	- Kickstart 1.2/1.3 way to force machine to NTSC.


    On the right of the screen are these buttons:

DF0: is -> DF0:
DF1: is -> DF1:
DF2: is -> DF2:
DF3: is -> DF3: 	- Use these to swap drives around.  Set a drive to
			  DF4: to make it unuseable.  Hence it won't take
			  up precous chip memory.


DEVICE TO BLOCK 	- Give a device name that you don't want to be
			  opened.  Eg scsi.device would stop the hard drive
			  that uses that device from being used.



    The most common way to get a brain-dead game to work is to turn on

NOFASTMEMORY
NOCACHE & NOBURST
PRIVILEGE ERRORS

    and to set every drive to DF4: except for D
