WORLD OF COMMODORE çddf,faa,afa,aaf,faf,ffa,aff World of Commodore 1994 ----------------------- By Buttercup of Orbital Here a review of the WOC94 wich was held (as always) in Köln, Germany. Here is only a review of the thing itself, sorry no review of the party which was held on Sunday. Well, smart as I am, I went on the first day,which was Friday 4 November. Early in the morning, at 5.30 we left from our homes to see the happening. Around ten we arrived in Köln. After following thousands of green signs we finally arrived at the messe where the big thing was going to happen. The entrance was quite cheap (around 6 US-Dollars if I remember well ?) and so after a short while we entered the place. It was very crowded at the entrance due to a stupid German gameshow(sorry guys) which looked quit childish. This year they spread the happening over 2 rooms. The first one we entered was very lame. It consisted out of some shit dealers trying to sell PC cd-roms and CDs... remarkable a lot of porno-gif CDs were sold. But, never mind, we walked true it (that wasn't a hard job) and finally we entered Amiga... Shit... Again we were disappointed 'cause it bursted from lamers trying to sell us PC wares. Luckily it was only an illusion, 'cause soon we could only find Amiga. The only shit was that almost no dealer could understand English, so we talked a bit German (Wiefiel kost dass ???) and so... we managed to explain ourselves. Okay... we bought a lot of new hardware and ¶çddf,faa,afa,aaf,faf,ffa,aff ¹software and we didn't meet a lot of sceneguys who came spontaniously to us (although I was wearing an Orbital-T-shirt). MSK/tragedy and his friends met us near the 'Berlin Amiga-shop store' becouse almost everybody gathered there. It was the cheapest stand we could find, and as a normal economical reaction everybody was buying there. New seen products: - OverdriveCD (zappo) with soft V9 - A lot of SCSII-controllers for CD_roms - Marvellous towers for A500-A600-A1200-A3000-A4000 - The new Acorn_risc PC wich procceses damn fluent - Very cheap CD32-consoles (less than 120 us_dollars) ¶- A lot of amiga cd_roms and porno_gifShit Well, only one thing left... it was allright, but I hope next year will be better, cause when commodore would have been there... maybe I'de added the new cd-based amiga in the list above. ¢Buttercup/orbital¹ Ç02
