"Author" PowerRipper is written by Joakim Ögren in assembler to get the program as short and fast as possible. PowerRipper requires at least OS2.0 (V37+) to run, since it uses many of 2.0 features to get it as fast,short and powerfull as possible. "Purpose" PowerRipper is a utility to find NoiseTracker and ProTracker modules in memory and save them to disk. It will search thru all memory places availble. It starts with chipmem(s) and continues with fastmem(s). @ENDNODE @NODE 5. "Installation" To run PowerRipper you won't be needing any special libraries. This will reduce memory usage. (And maybe not trash your modules) @ENDNODE @NODE 6. "Template from CLI" ABOUT/S,MULTITASK=SLOW/S ABOUT Show some info about PowerRipper MULTITASK This will cause PowerRipper to multitask a bit. You can click in a gadget to stop search. You can use the Zoom, everything will be updated during search. It will go a little bit slower... Please refer to any AmigaDos 2.0 Reference for more information about Templates and modifiers. @ENDNODE @NODE 7. "All functions" Here is the complete documentation for all functions/commands in PowerRipper. (In order of appearance). All underlined characters are shortcuts that could be used instead of clicking in the gadget. Search This will start the actual search. If you have searched ¯ before it will continue where it stopped last time. Restart This will restart the search. It will search from the ¯ beginning again. Save This will save the module it has found to disk. You ¯ should enter the name in the file gadget. About Show a little text about the program. ¯ Destroy This will corrupt the module that PR has found (in ¯ memory). It will make it unfindable (and unusable). Good if you're ripping many modules and has found a module that you've already ripped. Use this one _very_ carefully! Deep Search This will cause PR to search a little bit better. But ¯ there's a chance that it will found things that aren't modules also. This will take a little bit longer. File You should enter the filename here. When you've found ¯ a module in memory it will put the modules name in this path. If you have entered a path to the file it will keep the path and just append the filename (the module- name). Search Type You could select here what it will search for: (the moduletype). - M.K. The original.. ProTracker modules - !PM! PowerMusic modules! Use optimod. - FLT4 StarTrekker (4-voices) or all types. By just selecting one of the types you'll gain a little bit speed. Datafields in the window: Memory: Name of the memory searched. (And address) Size: Calculated size of module in memory. Type: Identifier. (Could be 'M.K.','!PM','FLT4','FLT8'..) "SHAREWARE" This program is SHAREWARE, to get a version without the annoying requester in the beginning you should get yourself registred. All registred users will recieve a keyfile, this file will disable the annoying requester in PowerRipper AND in all future QTech Tools programs which requires registration. As you recieve new versions, (of PowerRipper or other QTech Tools Programs) this keyfile will work with them also. All distribution of the keyfile is totally forbidden! The keyfile is personal. You're allowed to use this program for trial period no longer than two weeks, if you find this program usable after that trial period you must register yourself. Register yourself by sending 50 SEK or US$10 (by international money order/postal money order in SEK, look at Registration Form for more info). As registred user you'll get the latest version of PowerRipper and other QTech Tools availble. If a new version is under development I will wait until it's ready before sending the programs/keyfile. Please remember that a lot of time and money have been spend on PowerRipper and other QTech Tools. You SHOULD GET yourself REGISTRED now!
