PRINTER INSTALLATION

Here is step by step guide to installing your own printer onto the
BenchMaster main disk.

All the printer drivers can be fonnd in the path:

Extras_Disk:Programs/devs/printers/

They have all been crunched using powerpacker, and can be used
straight away on BenchMaster, although to use them on WorkBench, you
will have to put c/pploadseg in your startup-sequence, and make sure
the powerpacker.lib is in the libs directory.

To install them on BenchMaster, do the following:

Click on the expand gadget of SID.


2 drive owners do the following:

1) Insert the Extras_disk: into drive Df1:

2) Below the left hand box of the SID window, click once on the DF1
gadget, to load the directory.	Now double click on the programs
directory in the box.  Now double click on the devs directory shown on
the list, and finally click on the printers directory, found in the
devs directory.  A list of printer names should appear in the box.

3) Now, below the RIGHT hand box (opposite the other one), click once
on the DF0 gadget.  Now, double click on the devs directory, followed
by the printers directory.  There should appear the name:

EpsonX[CBMmps1250]

4) Click once on this to highlight it in white.  Now click on the
delete gadget found somewhere at the bottom of the window.  A
requestor will appear.	Click on "YES".

5) Now, from the left box, click once on the printer of your choice.
Now click on the "COPY" gadget at the bottom of the screen.  The file
will now be copied over to the main disk.  Make sure the disk is on
write enable for this.

6) Shrink SID, and load up preferences.  Click on the printer gadget.
At the top, in the middle will appear the name of your printer.  Make
sure it is the one highlighted.  If not, use the arrows to select it.
Now click on use to return to the main screen.

7) Finally, click on SAVE on the main preferences screen, and bingo!


1 Drive users:

1) Insert the Extras_disk: into drive Df0:

2) Below the left hand box of the SID window, click once on the DF0
gadget, to load the directory.	Now double click on the programs
directory in the box.  Now double click on the devs directory shown on
the list, and finally click on the printers directory, found in the
devs directory.  A list of printer names should appear in the box.

3) Below the right hand box of the SID window, click once on the RRD
gadget, to load the recoverable ram drive directory.

4) Now, from the left box, click once on the printer of your choice.
Now click on the "COPY" gadget at the bottom of the screen.  The file
will now be copied over to RRD:.

5) Take out the extras disk form DF0:, and insert the main disk into
DF0:  Below the LEFT hand box, click once on the DF0 gadget. Now,
double click on the devs directory, followed by the printers
directory. There should appear the name:

EpsonX[CBMmps1250]

6) Click once on this to highlight it in white.  Now click on the
delete gadget found somewhere at the bottom of the window.  A
requestor will appear.	Click on "YES".

7) Now, from the right box, click once on the printer of your choice.
Now click on the "COPY" gadget at the bottom of the screen.  The file
will now be copied over to the main disk.  Make sure the disk is on
