AM/FM - Amiga Musicians Freeware Magazine

No, this isn't one of those funny little clock radios that pretend that
they are actually more than, er, a clock with a radio. No, this is a
diskmag with a circulation bigger than Pavarotti's. 

Now on it's 14th issue, the Amiga Musicians Freeware Magazine (AM/FM) has
become the widest-read disk magazine in the Europe. Dispite the fact that
it has only a limited Musical audience. It is aimed at everyone who owns an
Amiga and is interested in music.

Edited by Amiga musician Bjørn A. Lynne, it's articles are both in-depth
and informative. Issue 14 actually contains articles on both OctaMED V5 and 
MUG! It also features numerous musical utilities and a special MIDI section.

Unlike TI, AM/FM has a strict copyright. Freeware in AM/FM's case really is
freeware as no money must change hands when it is copied. People wishing to
sell AM/FM must buy special labels at the cost of £1 per issue. Pretty 
expensive disk labels by any accounts!

The magazine does not stick to specific release dates and is only released
when there is enough quality material to fill up a disk. There is an interval
of approx. 6 weeks between each issue. 

As well as the magaizne itself, AM/FM sample disks are also produced and it
is up to the purchaser wether they wish to buy just the magzine, the samples
or both disks. The disks (although full) only contain a small number of
samples but these are of very high quality. Each disk carries a specific 
theme (i.e. Pianos or FX). As with the magazine, 14 sample disks are
available. 

Another AM/FM product is the Special Disk series which contain various pieces
of music material. Previous Special Disks have been MIDI information, modules,
and music utilities.
