CUBIK.DOC 1991.07.23

    CUBIK is a little game based on those cube puzzles that were popular in
    the early eighties. A cube with 9 sections on each face, each face of
    one color, is scrambled. The object of the puzzle is to unscramble the
    cube and return each face to its original color.

    In CUBIK, you're presented with a front and back view of a cube, the
    front view has a set of six pairs of gadgets for rotating each one of
    the six faces clockwise or counter-clockwise. Play with the gadgets a
    bit and you should get the hang of it, every move affects both the
    front and back view. It helps if you can think in 3D.

    It multitasks well, perfect for playing while doing those huge
    downloads. Works under 1.3 and 2.0 just fine. Uses an 8-color 320
    by 180 screen so as not to hog CHIP, err, GRAPHICS memory. It only
    requires 44K CHIP and 20K other memory, so it should run on any Amiga.

    HINTS: A cube has 6 faces (the center sections, they never move), 12
    edges (two sections per edge) and 8 corners (3 sections). Quite
    challenging little topological puzzle!

    OTHER STUFF: I usually write medium to large sized programs and spend
    months working on them, so a past programming partner of mine
    challenged me to write a complete Amiga game in a day. I spent a
    Saturday afternoon hacking CUBIK together and won the bet (hurrah) :-).
    A week later I added a few leetle bells & whistles & made sure it ran
    under both 1.3 & 2.0. Works fine on my 2.04 A2000, tell me if you have
    problems on your machine.

    DISTRIBUTION: Transmit it or pass it on any way you like. If it blows
    up or causes mental or physical stress I won't be held accountable (I
    should work for the gov't, eh?). Shareware? No way! You think I would
    ask for money for this?!? But if you feel like it, I would love to see
    any of your own Amiga programs or anything interesting you've
    downloaded lately (I don't get much time to cruise the boards anymore)
    or any sound samples (I've accidentally found myself collecting them
    and playing with MED & AMIII a lot) send me a disk. I can't guarantee
    I'll respond to paper mail in a timely fashion, but I'll try. Have fun!
