Press START. A level select screen will appear that can transport you almost anywhere in the game. AIR DIVER ========= Secret Modes - Start the game and go to an area on the map with no enemies. Hold START and Press A, B, C, B, A, A, B, C, B, A, B. Let go of START for invinciblity, hold A for fight ace, hold B for the mothership and hold C for the last Boss. Continue to hold as designated while you leave the hanger. Once the round begins, let go of the buttons. ALIEN STORM =========== Stay Alive After You Die - To do this trick, you must have enough energy to do your special move. First you must be the robot, Scooter. When you die, use its special attack move and it will end up with no energy, but it will not be dead. Do this trick every time you die, and (if you are good enough to power up your life again) you will not lose any lives. ALTERED BEAST ============= Change Characters - To change your alter ego, at the title screen, press the pad DOWN and LEFT while holding all three buttons and press START. Level Select - At the title screen, hold B and press START for a play select menu and when selecting a round, hold A and press START to choose it. Sound Test - At the title screen, press UP and RIGHT while holding A and C buttons, and then press START for a sound test. ARCH RIVALS =========== Gain Possession of Ball - You can automatically take possession of the ball at the beginning of the quarter when playing against the computer. Before the game starts, when you are shown the locker room, hold button A and press START while still holding it to get into game. When the tip off starts, you will automatically hit the ball to your other player. To do this trick in the other quarters, just hold the A button during the commentator's screen and the halftime show. ARNOLD PALMER GOLF ================== Secret Tournament - There is a secret tournament in this game. Enter the lower case "f" across the top portion of the password box and enter a "9" across the bottom portion. Do this, and you will be in a new tournament with a different caddy, who tells you much more than the one in the game. Hidden Game - To enter the hidden game, hit 100 strokes on any hole. Then, during the "Game Over" screen, press UP, Up, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, and then START until the game begins. ARROW FLASH =========== Invinciblity - At the option mode, change Arrow Flash from Stock to Charge. Wait for the demo to play (after the story demo) and then hit START until the game begins. Each time you press C for three to five seconds, you will become invincible for ten minutes. BACK TO THE FUTURE 3 ==================== Skip Stages - Pause the game at any point and simultanously press these buttons together in the following order: UP and A, DOWN and A, LEFT and A, RIGHT and A. BURNING FORCE ============= Start With 10 Ships - At the title screen, press B, A, B, A, A, C, A, A. Then hit START. BUSTER DOUGLAS BOXING ===================== Sound Test - To listen to the sounds of the game, press START on controller 2 at the game select screen. Press and hold DOWN on the controller and press the A button to play the music. Move to the sound effects and after the first one, press RIGHT for more. CASTLE OF ILLUSION ================== Max Out Your Lives - Play the game until you are on level 2-2. Just before you get to the exit, you will see a Jack-In-The-Box. Kill him, walk to the left and you will get a bag of power-ups and 1000 points. Now walk back to the right and stop at the question mark. Go back to the left to get another 1000 points. Mickey gets an extra life every 50,000 points, so repeat this trick until you have 10 lives. CENTURIAN: DEFENDER OF ROME =========================== Passcode - Enter this code on the save game screen to have control of many ancient countries and one fleet of ships. Use the airwalk to position yourself over one of the red poles found in the game and then drop straight down onto it. Each time you do this, you will gain a half of your heart life back and one of the segments on the pole will trun white. Bypass the Boss - As you approach the last fall before Toady, the second round Boss, float to the ledge on the left, then jump from ledge to ledge until you see the sign that says you have cleared the round. Be careful, though. You must get the special item before you leave the level. If you fail to do this, you will have to go back to the level and find the item, plus you will run into the second round Boss! DESERT STRIKE ============= Mission Codes - Access the password option by pressing A. Campaign #2 - BQJZAEX Campaign #3 - TLJAOAZ Campaign #4 - ITOIPEK Two Extra Lives - To add two lives to your current three, enter TQQLOM on the password screen. You can then start the game, or put in your own level code to start on higher levels. Seven Extra Lives - Start the game with ten lives by entering the code: BQQQAEZ. Attack of Ambassador's Camp in Campaign #3 - 1) Get plenty of armor. 2) Take out the radar - down and to the right of the road approaching the camp. 3) Fly straight up the road towards the camp. 4) Take out the M-38 with two Hellfires. 5) Hang a left on the next street and an immediate right around the building. 6) Right around the building will be a tank and a Rapier/SAM gun. 7) Collect the ambassador - he is under one of the buildings (random). DEVILISH ======== 99 Balls - If you want a stock of 99 balls in your arsenal, go to the title screen and hold buttons A, C and LEFT on the control pad. When you press START you will have 99 balls in your possession. DRAGON'S FURY ============= 99 Balls & 13 million points - Enter the following password: VFELFO78TL That is the letter O in the password. EL VIENTO ========= Instant Magic - Pause the game during play, and press UP, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN and C. You will get one magic each time you do this trick. Repeat it for all your magic powers. Clear Scene - At any time during play, pause the game and press UP, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN and then B. You will skip the stage you were in and go to the next one. Slow Motion - Pause during play and press UP, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN and then A. You will be able to move in slow motion with the sound intact. Once you get into the character selection screen, move the cursor to the warrior that you want to use for this trick. Mow, TIMING IS VERY IMPORTANT. Have player 1 press DOWN and B at the same time. If your timing was right, then the name of the warrior under your player's name will be darkened, as if he/she were chosen. However, your warrior's picture should still remain in the player 1 icon box. Because the name beneath yours was darkened, your character still remains available for player 2 to choose. Have player 2 select the same warrior. You will now be fighting warrior vs. warrior. Press START on controller two for a new life. GAIRES ====== Invinciblity - Pause, hold buttons A and C, press LEFT and unpause the game. If that doesn't work try the following: Enter the game configuration mode. Go to the sound test and select #18. Hold down button A on controller 2. While doing this, exit the configuration mode on controller #1. Hit Start once you see the title screen, and you're ready. Now pause the game. Press and hold down A, C, and Left. At the same time, hit Start. You should now be invincible. GHOULS & GHOSTS =============== Invinciblity Trick - Reset the game four times; press the A button four times, press UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT on the pad, hold the B button and press START; hold the C button and press START. Alternate Invinciblity Trick - Press UP and A, Down and A, LEFT and A, RIGHT and A. You should hear a short "Harp" sound. When you hear this, hold the B button and press START. Then, hold C and pres START. GOLDEN AXE ========== Level Select - At the character select screen, press button B and hold the pad DOWN, LEFT and press START simultaneously on ccontroller 1. A small number will appear in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Move the number with the pad to change your starting level. GOLDEN AXE 2 ============ Over 200 Magic Units - Press and hold the A button when fighting the Boss on any stage. Do not let go of the button until you defeat the Boss and enter the bonus stage. Release the A button, but do not hit any of the wizards or take any magic books. Wait until the next stage and you will be able to use magic spells whenever you want. Round Select - When the game starts, hold down the A, B, and C buttons and press START. Release the B and C buttons, but hold A. Go to the options screen and press B and C to enter it. Without releasing A, move the cursor to Exit and press B with C again. While holding the A button, press B and C together to make your choice of one or two players and press it again to choose a normal game. Select your character and without releasing the A button, hold UP on the pad, and press B, C and START simultanously. Select your round with A and B. Credit Increase - Get to the title screen and move to "Options." Press A, B and C simultanously and hold them to enter the options screen. Let go of A, but keep B and C pressed, Move down to "Exit" and press START. Choose a 1 or 2 player game by pressing START and then choose a normal game by pressing the A button. JOHN MADDEN FOOTBALL ==================== Stop Opponent's Extra Points - In order to force your opponent to miss his extra points, keep going off the sides until the ball is on the goal line. Then when your opponent kicks the ball, it will be too low and he will miss. JOHN MADDEN FOOTBALL '92 ======================== Final Game Code - To play as Chicago against Buffalo, enter B3FM8FB5. Trick After Touchdown - When you score a touchdown, hold UP and your player does a back flip. Hold DOWN and he does the Egyptian Dance. Hold LEFT to do a hand spring and RIGHT to get him to throw up his hands and dance. KID CHAMELEON ============= Fight the Last Boss - To get to the final Boss without fighting your way through every level, try this method. Go to Blue Lake Woods 2 and make your way through the level, but do not touch the flag to end the level. Get up on the very last prize block in the level, and push DOWN and RIGHT with the Jump and Special buttons held. You will be warped to the last Boss. No Prize Bonus - There is an easy way to earn an extra 5000 points. Just go through the level, but do not pick up any items. You will receive a 5000 point "No Prize Bonus" when you enter the level. Then Start the game and you will have 99 lives. MARVEL LAND =========== Stage Select - When in the Normal Mode, simply enter the password screen and use the code ARDE. If you want to play in the Digest Mode, you should input the code GIL AND KI. Once this is done you will be transported to a level select screen where you are offered the round of your choice. MIDNIGHT RESISTANCE =================== Stage Select - At the title screen, hold button C and press START. When you begin playing, press START to pause. While paused, hit button A to advance a level. MIGHT & MAGIC ============= Free Food - In your list of commands, select (Share and then Food). Do this several times and your entire party's food supply will increase. You may also go beyond the limit of 40 units with this trick. MOONWALKER ========== Stage Select - To select any stage but 6, hold UP, LEFT, and button A on controller 2. When you hear the chime, hold down the A button and press START. Now when Sonic enters Level 1 he can do the following things: Press B and he will become a new character. Press A and he will change characters. Press C and that character will multiply. Then press B again to turn him back to Sonic. Power Sneakers - At the beginning of Stage 1, Level 3, roll into a ball and hit the springboard. When you fly into the air, push to the left so that you will land on the platform. There you will find a 1-up and the Power Sneakers. Hidden 1-Ups - There are five hidden 1-Ups in the game. The first one is in Zone 1, Act 1. You play until you reach the first bed of spikes. After you crosss the pit, the second tree has the prize. The second one is on the boss level of Zone 1. Just fall on the second canyon and you will find the extra guy. A third in Zone 2, Act 3 is straight to your left at the start. Then the jungle has the fourth one in Zone 3, Act 3. Before you start to jump on the green platform and make your way to the top, go to the right until you get to the water. Jump in, go right, and get the 1-Up. The last one is hidden in the water in Zone 4, Act 3. You encounter a spring that takes you up into a long room hidden in the top left course. In that room will be rows of spikes. Jump them safely and get the last 1-Up. SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 ==================== Level Select - Go to the Title screen, then Options screen. Highlight the sound select test box. With the pad, change the number of the sound test and play them with the B button in this order: 19, 65, 9 and 17. When you play song 17 you will hear a distintive ring sound at the beginning of the song. Press START to exit back to the title screen. When the title screen appears, hold A button and press START and you will see the level select screen. Super Sonic - If you highlight the sound test box on the Options screen and play the sounds in this order with the B button: 4, 1, 2 & 6. Choose any level and when you collect 50 rings and you jump into the air, you become Super Sonic. Press START then A to exit the level. Debug Mode - If you highlight the sound test box on the Options screen and play the sounds in this order with the B button: 1, 9, 9, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4 (Sonic Tuesday). Highlight stage, hold button A and press START to enter level. While in a level, it is possible to change into an object. Press B button to change objects and C buuton to duplicate objects. 2 Player Game on 1 Player Screen - Go to the options by pressing the pad DOWN twice on the title screen. Make sure you are playing "Sonic and Tails". Go into the game and using controller 2, move the pad in any direction, or press any button and you will see that you can move Tails anywhere on the screen separately from Sonic! This will make it easier to work as a team and complete the game. Also since Tails can not die, you can use him to defeat the bosses and just have Sonic avoid them. If you want to go back to the one player mode, just leave Tails alone and he will go back to following Sonic. Change into Super Sonic - You can change yourself into Super Sonic with the following method. This is best accomplished with two players. Go into the first level, collect 50 rings, and find the nearest Star Pole. Touch it and jump up in the rotating stars to enter the bonus level. Use two players and collect all the rings necessary to get the Chaos Emerald. Once you grab it, press the Reset button on the Genesis. When the title screen appears, go into the Options, and then press START to get to the first level again. Repeat the exact same process over and over and you will see that the bonus stages cahange, and you get different emeralds each time. Once you collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds, go back into that level. Now what you must do, is collect 50 rings and jump into the air. Wow! You are now Super Sonic! He can jump faster and jump higher than before. His rings go down every second, so stock up. SPIDERMAN ========= Short Cut to First Boss - Go to the option mode and select Nightmare difficulty. Play the game and get into the first level warehouse. Go to the right, past the first thug and the German Shepard. Next, jump on the first crate and crawl to the right. You will go through the crate and right to the Boss. Money for Taking Pictures - To get the most money by taking pictures, snap the following shots in these stages: Stage 1 - Forklift, Dr Octopus = $200 Stage 2 - Alligator, Lizardman, go past Lizardman to snap Venom = $380 Stage 3 - Lightening Creature, Electro = $300 Stage 4 - Gorilla, Sandman, Venom =$400 Stage 5 - J.J. Jameson, (then go directly above for a grey box on the top of the building), Brutal Biker, Hodgoblin, Venom = $440 Stage 6 - Don't waste time. Level Boss Strategies - Dr. Octopus: Get directly beneath him and punch. Try to trap him in the corner. Lizard: Stay to one side of him. If he ducks, stand up briefly, duck and keep firing. Electro: Get on a ledge above him and keep shooting webs. You will be able to hit him and he won't be able to hit you. Mr Sandman: Swing over to the left by the fire hydrant and spray him with water. It takes only one hit. Hobogoblin: Shoot up at him and hit him when he moves low. Venom: Move to where you can see him. Activate your web shield and jump over his shots. Hit him when you can, he's tough. Kingpin: Activate your web shield and use jump kicks. Aim for his head. SPLATTERHOUSE 2 =============== Level Select - At the title screen, go to the password select and put in these codes to reach higher levels. The runner on first will attempt to steal second base and you will have an easy pick-off. STEEL EMPIRE ============ Round Select - Go to the options screen and perform the sound test in the following order: sound 1 - twice, sound 9 - once, sound 2 - once. Once this is done, a new category will be added to the options. Select Round from 1 to 7. Note: Worked on preliminary version of game. Skip Levels - First plug in controller 2. Next, get past the title screen and all of the options. Begin your game. Press the C button on controller 2 to skip ahead in your level, if it has a different section, and press it again to end without even fighting the Boss. 99 Ships - Enter the option mode from the title screen. While in the option mode, set the difficulty to Hard, Ships at 2, Continues at 1, and then choose sound 65 and press the A button. You will not hear any sound, but when the game starts, you will begin your mission with 99 ships. 99 Bombs - Plug in your second controller. When you get to the ship selection screen, push C, A, C, A, START and then B. You will hear a chime if the trick worked. Once you start the game, you will have 99 bombs. STREETS OF RAGE 2 ================= Extra Lives & Level of Difficulty - You will need a second controller in Port #2. With the second controller, press START on the title screen. That will take you to the Options screen. Move cursor with controller #2 down to word OPTIONS. With buttons A and B held down, press START and it will give you a new Options screen. This will let you select the number of lives and the difficulty settings. STRIDER ======= Dipodal Saucer Robots - Have the Dipodal Saucer robots through the whole game. First get 2 robots (2 of your life bars will be read). Late in the first stage you'll come to a container with the robot panther in it. Do not touch it! Make sure you are shot once by the enemy, then go back and activate the panther. The panther will leave and your original Dipodal Saucers will appear. They will stay with you, even if you die. The only way to lose them is by falling off the screen or using a continue. SUPER MONACO G.P. ================= Race in Last Race - To race in the last race of the second year, enter the following code. UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, A, B, UP, DOWN and then START. If you hear a signal sound, you have done the trick right. Once you start the game now, Yuko will be in her swimming suit making her invincible and impervious to attack damage. Yuko will also get bonus points for being in this mode. Music Test - Now you can hear all the cool tunes. At the title screen, press and hold A, B, C and press START. After you do this you will see a music selection screen. Just press A, B or C to change the tune. TASK FORCE HARRIER EX ===================== Debug Mode - Hold button A while turning on the power. When the title screen appears, let go of A and push the following buttons: UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, A, B, A, C, B. Now select "Config" on the title screen and you will see that the option mode has changed. There are new optionscalled "Muteki" (invinciblity) and "Window" (changes the screen size). You can choose the "Wide" screen option for a better view. When in the level, press START and then A to skip levels. TAZMANIA ======== Infinite Continues - The continue loop is in the Badlands. First go to the Continue. It's high on a rock right before the bridge. To get the Continue, let a rock monster follow you to the rock. Jump on the head, then jump on the rock. Touch the milestone next. Then go back and get the 1-UP on the rock's left edge. The loop is complete. Just keep repeating as many times as you need. TEAM USA BASKETBALL =================== Play as Team USA in final game against the Netherlands - # XT7RB6 See Closing ceremonies - # WT7RDC Play as Team USA in final game against Lithuania - # FNT7RBQ See closing ceremonies - # FMT7RCO (Last entry is letter O) TOEJAM AND EARL =============== Hidden Level - It is possible to get to an island with pretty hula girl inviting you in for a hot bath, and a lemonade stand to provide you with extra life. To do it, get to the bottom, left of the islnd, activate either Icarus Wings, or the Inner Tube to get over the water. Then go through (or over) the water and you'll find the hidden island. Fall through the hole in the center of the island and you'll be in the Hidden level. Sneak up on Santa Claus - Wait until Santa is looking into his bag, and then tip-toe up to him. If Santa looks up, freeze until he looks back into his bag. Then tip-toe towards him some more. If you reach him successfully, he'll drop presents for you. THUNDER FORCE 2 =============== Level Select - While turning on the Genesis, you will need to hold A, B, and C. When the title screen appears, press START while holding these control letters. THUNDER FORCE 3 =============== Instant Weapons - Pause the game and press UP 10 times, B once, DOWN two times, and B two more times. Unpause the game and you will have access to all of the available weaponry. TROUBLE SHOOTER =============== Stage Select - Plug in controller 1, get to the title screen where it allows you to choose to start or go to an option screen. On controller 2, press START, RIGHT and C at the same time. You will see a stage select option come up in between the title words. Press START, RIGHT and C again to advance stage numbers. Timing is very critical. TURRICAN ======== Customize Options - Go to the options screen and move the cursor to the bottom of the screen. Hold the pad DOWN and press A, B, B, A, B, A, A, B, A, A, B, A, A. An extra menu will let you modify weapons, lives, power and stage select. If the option menu doesn't appear, press Up and repeat the button sequence again.
