Please read carefully the manual, before attempting the installation.

If you make mistakes, you can repeat the installation on top of
the previous one. Just delete the directory Mountfiles, created
into your booting partition (sys:).

This installation is meant for users who have a minimum/average
knowledge of how a network works. 

Remember that in order to use (on the local Amiga) an existing Internet
connection on the PC you will need a software like WinGate or
similar products.

You can also use this installation to connect two (or more) Amigas
with no PCs at all.

Power-LAN includes:

	1 PCMCIA Ethernet Card
	1 Adapter with a RJ-45 and a BNC connector
	3 Amiga disks
	1 Card reset modification kit (more info at the end of this document)

Please read this document and the installation manual fully before
attempting the installation.

 TELNET

Using a Telnet client (from the PC or remote Amiga) you can run programs
installed on this Amiga.

When connecting using the telnet program, type "telnet" (all lower case)
at the "Login:" prompt and then "Telnet" (only T in upper case) as the
password.

THE CARD RESET "BUG"

If the PCMCIA card doesn't start (after you switch on your computer)
you can use the kit enclosed to fix the problem.
If you prefer not to modify your motherboard, you can reset
the card by extracting it and re-inserting it in the PCMCIA slot.

Solder the three wires from the kit to the Gayle chip according
to the scheme below.

 Gayle pin locations

 - Pin 5 (CC_RESET) is the 5th pin from the 'pin 1' marking.

 - Pin 20 (+5V) is the 9th pin counting up the right side.

 - Pin 40 (_RST) is the 8th pin from the right, on the top.
