Short: Layer based 24 bit image editing V1.03 Author: nkt@ecsoft.dk (Nikolaj Thygesen) Uploader: nkt@ecsoft.dk (Nikolaj Thygesen) Version: 1.03 Type: gfx/edit Requires: OS3.0+, CGFX 2+, 68020+, 8+ Mb RAM Copenhagen - August 11. 2000 DiamondBOX is a 24 bit layer based Photo Retouching editor. It's inspired by photogenics, and I started working on it after finally giving up hopes of ever seeing new releases of PGS. Yes, I have noticed PGS4... DiamondBOX has been in development for almost four years, but this is the first public release. I Guess I should've called it "DiamondBOX 2000", but then everybody would think it was for PC's. It's not at all the most intuitive system in the world, but it does what I want it to, and runs w/out any Enforcer hits on my own system. It's done in C++ as a way of solving a practical problem while at the same time familiarizing myself with the OO approach. If you want the plugin API, drop me a line, and let's see what happens. Also, if you'd like a 040/060 compiled version, we can talk about it. This reduces the size of the executable by ~1 Kb, but I haven't run any benchmarks on it to check the speed increase (if any). - Need to have/know: ==================================================================================== - OS3.0+ - CGFX 2+ - 68020+ - 8+ Mb RAM - Make sure you have a GFX board, and run DiamondBOX on a 16+ bit public screen. Default is Workbench. Set name of PubScreen in icon. - DiamondBOX eats loads of RAM - the more the better!! - Install by dearchiving into any Drawer of your choice. - Please read thru the tutorial in the guide!!! Learning curve a little steap. br... Nikolaj Thygesen nkt@ecsoft.dk
